I think you've got it arse about face to be honest, the performance on the pitch seemed to spread the negativity to the stands and for me it seemed apt at the time to sing it, if you was there of course?

It's got fuck all to do with the players, none of the players even showed up. If one of us shown up to work and put in the level of commitment that those did yesterday we would be told not to turn up again.

It became about the fans who had traveled 200 miles to watch a shower of shite that harks back to the bad old days, so we're going to sing a fucking song that harks back to the old days, and while we're at it we're going to enjoy ourselves, if you don't like one of our own signature songs that has as much our own legacy in it as our badge, then show up to a match, pipe up when it's sung and see how you fare.
