Who's Bonny?
Who's Bonny?
I think there are more folks who believe 'others think Nasri will be gone' than there are actual folks who think he will be gone :)No idea, and I may be wrong but I think Nasri will be very important to Pep. Can't believe so many think he'll be gone. He's perfect for a Pep system.
Will be really interesting to see his approach as there is a big rebuilding job needed here
At Barca he had the core of the best Spanish team ever already in place ,along with the greatest player of all time
At Bayern he had a treble winning machine who had preeminence in their own league
We have arguably the best squad in the league but one where a few of its biggest stars have question marks
Toure , too old and his legs have gone
Kompany , can't stay fit
Aguero , absolutely class but fragile
Silva , again world class but the wrong side of thirty
Can Pep get more out of our current squad ? Will we need wholesale changes, will he use the academy?
On paper we need
2 new fullbacks, could he use Angelino / mafeo here ? Zaba and Clichy as first choice ?
1 world class centre half , stones has potential but isn't world class
1 world class centre mid / defensive mid , pogba would be my choice here , could get him now?
1 world class forward who can play wide or through the middle , Neymar would be my choice but very hard to get
I'm hoping for Sane, Pogba, Laporte, BernatI'm hoping for Weigl, Pogba, Laporte, Gaya and Dybala!
Fernando is not a limited passer.I think we will see him get more out of some of our players.
I can see Kelechi really coming on under him (although credit to Pellegrini for doing a good job with him so far).
I can't see Bony having any place in a Pep side and I would think Mangala might struggle simply because he is not very composed on the ball. Fernando may struggle too due to his very limited passing ability.
My guess would be 6 out and 4/5 in with Denayer being recalled.
The 6 out being
Demichellis
Mangala
Kolorov or Clichy
Fernando
Toure
Bony
I'd only look to moving him if we could get a home grown backup. Otherwise, I'd keep him. He is a fine backup. What do people have against Caballero?
In Lawlor and Gunn,we have two of our own, both have a very bright future.I'd only look to moving him if we could get a home grown backup. Otherwise, I'd keep him. He is a fine backup.
Yaya may be going this summer, but I doubt its because Pep doesn't like him. More likely than not Pep would try to keep him, but Yaya would choose to leave.bye bye wilfried and eliaqium for sure, cant see pep putting up with them ,yaya he doesn't like anyway and I think he would be going this summer regardless of pep coming or not
If they are ready. I'm all for it, but all the talk of Navas or Valdes just turns my stomach. In Lawlor and Gunn,we have two of our own, both have a very bright future.
Lawlor is fast gaining plaudits and building his reputation on loan at Bury, he looks very capable and commanding indeed.Gunn probably also needs a loan to fully test him,but his performances for the EDS and England youth would indicate he has every chance of becoming top class. If they are ready. I'm all for it, but all the talk of Navas or Valdes just turns my stomach.
