Peter Crouch

Crouch is over rated, just because we don't have a tall striker that can head the all doesn't mean that we should try fix it by buying the tallest striker.

We should of bought him last january, no doubt we would already have a place for Europe sealed if we had.

But.. we didn't and for me it's too late, we can get better, We need a drogba type striker.

Crouch would be awesome! id like him as much as anyone genuinely! even on match of the day on sat some fantastic efforts form nothing, in a standard side! also for once offers us an aerial threat and as stated early, even effective at international level!! great squad player and i think if it is nailed on and he signs he wont jus be a squad player he'll be a starter 9 times out of 10

Come on people, just because we have all the money it doesn't mean that we're going to be able to sign the Ibrahimovic's and David Villa's of the world just yet.

Crouch is a good player, he's a target man which we desperately need, and he knows the league well. He's had a good season at a bad team as well and has scored a lot of goals.

He gives us another option up front and I doubt that if we do bring him in, he's not the only striker we'd bringing in. It's a squad game and all we have up front are injury prone strikers(Boj and Bellamy), young strikers(Studge Chad Phil), and old shit strikers(Benjani and Vassell) and not many of them are that good or will be here longer anyway.

Ffs most of the people on here just like bitching.

Sign Bellamy? Whine and complain, even though he's scored a lot of important goals for us.
Linked with RSC? woman, even though he scored 20 goals in his first and only season under Hughes. Injury prone but could do a good job.
Big Phil keeps scoring? Oh well then we need a 25 page thread saying how shit he is!
Robbie going through a rough patch? Hughes out, Robinho can't adapt!

I can't take it anymore. We're not going to turn into a CL winning team overnight, just sit back and enjoy the ride and show a little optimism for once people!

Crouchy is a god damn awful player, effective maybe but not for us. With the movement of Robinho, SWP, Ireland, Petrov and Elano we need someone who can link up play as well as score goals. Crouch hasn't got the class, vision or awareness to fit into our style of play.

Theirs better options like Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Fabiano, Yakubu (when fit) or Benzema to name but five.

If Hughes stays shit like this is the best we can hope for...

Not sure Bellamy has scored 'a lot' of important goals for us either? He's not done 'a lot' of anything other than tie up the physio's time. Another waste of an excessively high fee.

Please let him be gone soon.

If we can get him, we should. He would definitely give us a totally different option and just look at his goal record!
I've always felt that many people condemn him for his physique, but MH is not that stupid.

The bile which is expressed on here whenever he is mentioned reminds me of the fuss about Bellamy, before he arrived and showed our Brazilians what the Premiership is about, post Christmas, in cold weather. Some of the anti-brigade had the decency to hold their hands up wnen he started to show his quality. I hope we get Crouch and see the same again.

Hughes has a very good record on buys, but I was sick when he ignored Crouch in January.
Better late than never.
