PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Just seen that Spurs owners are going to inject 100 million into the club. How would this be accounted for in terms of PSR & can spurs spend it on whatever they want?

Let’s hope that City publish their “irrefutable proof” so we can all make our own minds up. I really hope there is not some sort of fudge by both parties.
If there was “irrefutable proof” then I cannot see any situation where this would have got to this point. Everyone says that when they are in a legal battle.

I presume our "irrefutable proof" is just the evidence that we presented at CAS (i.e. audited accounts and witness testimony). I doubt there's anything new that is going to significantly shift the dial in public perception. Unless we're booted out of the league and stripped of trophies, then fans of other clubs are going to claim it's a fudge regardless.

You are a respected person, who is very well informed on the matter, you tweeted about a possible announcement in the next 4 weeks in September.
In that that time 2 CEO 's have left their position at rival clubs.
Pep in press conference shortly after the alleged breaches were announced, blamed the CEO 's at rival clubs . He even named one, Daniel levy, who has left his position at Spuds. The other Tim Lewis has been huge supporter of FFP .
These are all facts,
2+2=?
2+2=115?

As you are fully aware - it’s the principle.

Move on

I am actually with you on this one.

IF.. it were real, which I doubt. Probably moved on by now. IF real, doubt anything like that would have happened on hisnown accord either.

Coincidence. Nobody (outside of the panel) knows what the decision says as nobody has seen it.
No one can say for sure if the departures of Levy and Lewis are connected to the case. It does seem unlikely. I don’t think the fact the verdict is public or not is the key factor. It is obvious there has been a sea change in the way investment in clubs is seen. The City saga will have influenced that sea change. Perhaps Lewis just took his ball home out of frustration like he did when he stormed out of the Etihad. Perhaps it is all a co-incidence. Whatever the result there will be lots of reputational damage for some people.

It’s a fair comment. But one thing we do know for certain is that Masters was stupid enough to ignore his own legal advice in the APT case.

What about a situation where the PL is run by people who don’t know what they are doing?
It might have some incompetents but as the most successful league in world sporting history there are clearly people in and around the organisation, including their legal advisors, who wouldn’t just throw god knows how many tens of millions at an irrefutable case. I can’t see a panel sitting for three months and deliberating/documenting for 9 months either.

In all disputes that go to court or arbitration etc, both sides believe they can win, but one always loses.
The panel had to study a stack of evidence and cover every charge.
The verdict is not dependent on the parties’ beliefs nor the time it takes.
The PL may have come under severe pressure from the redshirts to proceed come what may.
I think ‘irrefutable’ really just refers to the main charge that our accounts were falsified. The lesser charges may be more arguable.
I’m just waiting without worrying.

Question to our experts.
Can the panel still request clarification from either side once the hearing has concluded or do they make a decision on the evidence they have.
