I don't think anybody is losing sight of it. It's just being realistic regarding a discernable difference in what the club will say publicly and what conversations will be held behind closed doors. They are confident, but the premier league are confident in their case. It's clearly a very complex case despite how confident one side may feel, and it's possible both sides could have came out of the hearing thinking the points they made are the right ones.

Its a signal that he is going on holiday and thats it, absolutely nothing to do with anything else its his last chance to have a break before the next internal break in March 2026 Its something he does when there is an international break

I doubt he will struggle with any media frenzy following the publication of the award, in fact when we are found to be "innocent" he will probably relish it

But the PL is a members' club, with some members being more influential than others. I don't accept Stefan's view that it's acting with the greatest integrity entirely independently of those members. And those influential members would love to threaten our very existence. The PL CEO was allegedly selected for the role based on his views on our club and how we would deal with us, after others dropped out of the running. Maybe at least some of those dropped out because they didn't like what they were being asked to do.

The PL's expensive lawyers must have raised the possibility that, for example, the Mancini contract charges are immaterial and would most likely be time-barred. Yet the PL still charged us. That snacks of throwing any shit they can at us, however unlikely that is to succeed. What does that tell you?

This was the same situation with UEFA, and Ceferin was caught between the two camps, trying to mediate and offering us a sweetheart deal that we flatly refused. At that time the club expressed its confidence in the outcome and that confidence was justified. The PL charges (as far as we understand them) are far weaker than UEFA's in my view.

I don't think we can even assume after that. It can be whenever. Day after Liverpool is the last logical date. Late 2025, int break. After that, it's completely random.

Assuming that the commission gives two fucks about the football calendar or the implications of the affects of the announcement upon football in general which I somewhat doubt

They will forward the award to the parties and they will probably agree upon the timing and the context of the announcement but that will be in a short time from them receiving the award

Those last emails published were quite damning taken in isolation. Doesn't mean City went ahead with what was proposed in them and I'm hoping the evidence we provided proved we didn't.

I wouldn't of expected City to have come out with their tail between the legs and provide sombre messages post the charges. They had to be firm to keep stakeholders including fans, sponsors, politicians, Pep etc on the right side. If we are found guilty for any of the serious charges, the implications are severe not just for the club but commercially and politically too.

It’s worth remembering that it’s not the premier leagues money that they are playing with but the member clubs.

Possible but unlikely almost a year after the hearing was completed - think both sides know what's coming and the departure of the two cartel attack dogs from the PL rules committee is pretty significant.

In any case the club reaction will have to be led by Khaldoon. Pep has no control over finances and was not even at the club during the period affected by the allegations. He will not be the mouthpiece.
