Last year I called him the world champion at hide and seek and nothing has changed. He has no spine and no bottle and that has been evident throughout his time here. Ducking away from the Van Persie free kick, going to pieces every single time we play Arsenal and they boo him, whenever we play a big team he just doesn't take any responsibility and never ever grabs a game by the scruff of it's neck and really impose himself. Sometimes you don't even know he was on the pitch till you see him get subbed. Milner doesn't have half the talent he does but his work rate and tenacity actually makes him a better option in the team than Nasri.

He's an average footballer. The sort who would fit in well at Spurs or Everton but certainly not the level we require going forward. Without doubt he retains possession well but to be a first-choice attacking midfielder in this team you really need to contribute more than that.

Nasri has fantastic footballing ability, when he can be arsed. Unfortunately this season as in others it seems he can not be bothered to put in a shift. On current form he would struggle to get in any other premier league team, which considering this natural talent is very sad. It is up to Pelli to earn his corn and get him working or ship him out in January and bring in someone who wants to play every time they pull on the shirt. Ditto for Yaya on this seasons. form

Poor again, with no invention or purpose with the ball. Maybe it isn't his best position out left but I expect a little more for the money he's on.

Gutted that we again didn't get a left winger.

Of course he is good enough for the level we 'require' and he isn't average - average is Pienaar or Valencia, not Nasri. He's proven it in helping us mop up trophies. What he maybe isn't good enough for is matches against the elite, but that's what you have a squad for. Buy a top attacking midfielder and drop Nasri down a rung, ensuring the squad is still very strong. Like how Bayern had Robben and Shaqiri on the bench today and Ribery injured, yet were still able to create loads of chances with the talent they had on the pitch. While we had all three of our main attacking midfielders on the pitch and could barely create a chance.

Meh as usual. Dont really expect a lot of him these days apart from spinning around and passing side ways or straight back to the person that gave it to him at walking pace. Tends not to disappoint.. Shirked it the season after we were first made champions and looks quite content to bottle it and surrender the title again

Yes, drop him down a rung. Of course it's all relative, but he's average at elite level, I should've clarified that. He shouldn't be first choice for a team as ambitious as ours.

Agree with this, it's just a shame that we lack a world class runner who actually worries defences, Nasri does struggle against the top top sides but he's an invaluable squad player.

This is why I was against spending a bulk of our allotted budget on Mangala. For this year, and I am speaking only of this year, he is barely an improvement on MDM. Whereas someone like Sanchez, Cesc or Di Maria would be a dramatic improvement on Samir. Of all the elite European squads we have the weakest AM rotation. Silva is the only one Barca/Madrid/Chelski/Bayern would have any use for.

We have no dribbler!!! Its annoying as fuck saying the same thing every week but it has to be said. Nasri and Navas can't beat a man to save their lives, at least with Navas though he works hard for the team and does get a few crosses in but with Nasri.... Nothing! Real Madrid have Bale, Barca have Messi/Neymar, Dortmund have Reus, Bayern Robben/Ribery the Shit is endless.... To compete with these teams we need a player that will run at defences and make them Shit themselves. We're too pedestrian and a large part of this is down to Nasri.

I find it really hard to dislike Nasri but you just have to look back at his Arsenal days and then at his City career and see he's just not the player we thought we had bought. He's excellent at keeping possession and keeping play ticking over but when we're struggling and need somebody to step up to the plate and create something out of nothing, take on a man or score a goal we look to the likes of Silva and Aguero and hardly ever Nasri.I can only recall 3 games in his City career where you can come away from the game and say Nasri made the difference today.

It's not enough to be neat on the ball, Silva is our playmaker, our "trequarista" as the Spanish say, Nasri should of been our Hazard, our Sterling etc. Somebody who has the ability to play a through ball and create a goal but also somebody who can dribble and go past a man or two with ease and finish.

He isn't the only one by the way, Navas for all his pace and ability has still yet to go past a man in just over a season with us which then leads to the suggestion that perhaps the team is coached so that we don't dribble the ball and risk losing it?

It's a big hole in our attacking arsenal and it should of been addressed this summer. Teams need to constantly adapt as others find way to combat against their preferred style, you only have to look at barcelona over the last few years to see that. Maybe Nasri/navas can start doing it for us as the weeks go on, perhaps Jovetic will be that player for us when he isn't injured. Either way somebody needs to be that player if we are going to maintain the league title.

Martin is having a good start to the year but since Eli hasn't played a single minute in a City shirt, it's a little premature to suggest he wont be any better.

Nasri routinely covers more ground than any other City player, so I'm sure 'not putting in a shift' is his issue. It's the chronic lack of pace and power that render him ineffective against the better teams and I honestly think we need to trade him in for an attacking midfielder with both of those attributes. Toure though is a different story. His attitude stinks to high heaven and I wish to God we'd binned the bastard off in the summer

Lol,as to covering more ground,he normally just runs around like a headless chicken and offers nothing defensively,chickens out of tackles,no interceptions,nothing.

The most frustrating thing is how often our attacks lose momentum when he gets it. He nearly always shields the ball, turns back in on himself and by the time he's moving towards goal again more defenders have got back.
