Re: Samir Nasri
Totally agree although i think we will still need a big presence in the midfield, like pogba

Like you, I thought we should have sold Yaya in the summer and that will come back to bite us on the arse quickly enough.
As for Nasri, you can't give him a get-out-of-jail-free card by stating he is in the team to recycle the ball.
That's a central midfielder's job and we have one of them in Fernandinho. See how Fernandinho showed glimpses of breaking the Bayern lines last night, just to allow us to breathe, pretty exciting, I thought.
He is doing Nasri's and Yaya job for them at present.
I agree that the club should have addressed the problem in the market, but Nasri should never have got a new deal.
Based on his inconsistency, inability to play a faster tempo, allied to his price tag and wages, he should have been used as the solution to rectify the weakness in the market and also demonstrated to Milner there was a consistent route to more starts.
Turn your phone on :)
I agree we aren't going to agree on Sami. I think i can handle the criticisms when he has a poor game and his head drops, but the constant stream of invective about his hunger and desire is just nonsense. He loves playing for City and as I've just said, consistently covers more ground and completes more passes than the rest of our midfield. That to me speaks volumes about the unseen work he does.
With regards ball recycling/Fernandinho. Yes Dinho does that job, but Nasri does it in the attacking half of the pitch. His job is to move inside and give Yaya an angle, give Silva an angle, occupy a full back then give Kola the ball.
Selling Toure kills two birds with one stone, and generates the funds to do proper damage with it.
Get a proper replacement for Toure and that then allows Fernandinho to play higher up and recycle in the Nasri areas of the field. He's better at it and also has a great eye for a pass.
That means we can sell Nasri and raise the type of money to get a decent left-sided attacker.
Missing out on di Maria is a mistake of major proportions.
And it could have been avoided if City had the foresight to have got rid of our two biggest flaws.
