Id like him to be given the chance in the number 10 role that he thrived in at arsenal. Silva is great at it but hes still as effective wherever he plays for me, whereas I think we lose a bit with Nasri.
Nasri just doesn't deserve to play in that role, though. In Silva, Yaya and even Aguero we have outstanding options there. In his City career Nasri has never really demonstrated that

This, think he was far more direct and explosive in his arsenal days.Shocking that there has been no significant improvement in him all these years and going by his recent performances he has come a level down.Still he must be given a fair chance,so i agree with giving him the number 10 role and he is also better than David at scoring goals,so why not. Also think he can do the job of yaya as a deep lying play maker.

this I disagree with, he doesn't have the physicality to handle that.

Re: Samir Nasri

Don't think he should start many games for us in the Champion's League - especially away from home.

I would rather see Milner or Navas than him now, Nasri is far too lightweight and isn't offering much going forward either.

Re: Samir Nasri

He's not been great so far this season, though some of the criticism has been excessive.

At any rate, his performances have been disappointing - especially as you would have hoped that after a proper break over the summer, he would be chomping at the bit.

With regards his position, I think he could be used effectively just in behind the striker, but we have better options in Silva (obviously) and I would say Jovetic, too. I'd prefer to see Nasri play there than Yaya, though.

Re: Samir Nasri

299 pages ago this thread started as "Samir Nasri is NOT a shithouse" ,it then evolved to "Samir Nasri is NOT useless".

The summary of those 299 pages is that he is not always useless, but at times he is a shithouse.

Re: Samir Nasri

If Nasri was such a shithouse then why did he join City in the first place and why has he just extended his contract at the club? He could have either extended his contract at Arsenal or run his contract down (something Milner is doing right now), he could of joined the rags when they were interested that summer,

Sure, a shithouse on £7M a year wages, with a freshly 5 year contract extension signed.
Guess you all know better than the people running our club.

Apparently....

Re: Samir Nasri

I think he will start on wednesday with Jovetic as silva has been playing non stop for now

Re: Samir Nasri

Get him up for sale and bring in a player who consistently contributes and can make a real impact, someone direct and incisive who frightens the life out of defenders.

I'd prefer him elsewhere obviously, however he should not play in the same side as Silva, that's a certainty.

At times last season we were amazing with both of them in the team. They've both just had a shakey start to the season, especially Nasri. It's just bad form.

Turn it in pal. Think you've had a go at him in ever post you've made tonight and he didn't even play!

He'll be sold when the manager doesn't want him anymore, and in the meantime we should know from our own history that simply singling out one player to slag off week in and week out as seems to happening with Sami doesn't really do anyone any favours.

Re: Samir Nasri

Nasri had a better season last year but never chases back and defensively offers no support.
Milner is more consistent and versatile.
He would make it on my team before Nas any day.

Re: Samir Nasri

Now let's see if the real Samir Nasri steps up, has he got the stones to fight for his place because after today Jimmy has set the bar for what's required.

Its a forum where we discuss our opinions on all thing concerning the club we support and love so I wont turn anything in.
I've had a go where its relevant because he deserves it.The lad has no marbles and it pisses me off when I witness it in our shirt. There were lads in that Leicester team today that id sooner have playing for us.

he does chase back, but his marking is poor and he almost never makes a challenge or get stuck in.

He didn't play today. So please turn it the fuck in. If you think it's relevant to slag him off and call him spineless or gutless or whatever other shite you posted earlier when he didn't play you're behaving like a bellend. Don't make the hole deeper by trying to defend it by bleating about how it's a forum to discuss opinions.

I'll repeat. He didn't play today. Enjoy the performance of those who did. Save your slagging for the next time he plays and we don't win.
