He was excellent last season, needs to get back to that.

Indeed,he had a purple patch where he looked superb and was one of the first names on the sheet. His appetite was immense and he looked very fit,i thought the penny had dropped.

That was just prior to his shiny new 5yr contract.

Wasn't that just before he got that bad injury against the barcodes?

Yep,he got injured,so do many players.

Re: Samir Nasri

He's out for a month and Pellegrini said the issue has been bothering him a while, which may explain his form.

Anyway, maybe a little more chance for Pozo, but Jovetic will also be back soon.

There'll always be a scapegoat. Guessing back to Dzeko once Nasri hits stride again later in the season.

Re: Samir Nasri

Remember the last time we won the league and some players seemed to lose their hunger the following season? Well, we need everyone up for it this year as it will be a real battle.

Rightly or wrongly, players like Nasri and Yaya appear much more casual than the likes of Zab, Milner, Navas, Komps, Fernandinho and Merlin. Thankfully the two new outfield lads won't be taking any prisoners.

looks like yaya has passed the baton onto samir , and the scapegoat for this month , wait for it ............SAMIR NASRI

Re: Samir Nasri

A month is good news as long as it really is a month. Pellegrini's guidance in the past has been well out

Re: Samir Nasri

Every injury is a blow, but with Milner and Navas at least we're well covered in that area. Could explain his poor start to the season, but you never really know with Nasri. He's blown hot and cold throughout his City career.

Re: Samir Nasri

After his performances this season im glad both for him and me as a fan i dont have to watch him for a few weeks...

Just hope Milner or Navas grasps this opportunity to cement a starting place...

Re: Samir Nasri

If he can get back injury free in a month that would be good news. I feared worse as his absence with no explanation hinted at worse

Re: Samir Nasri

Hopefully he'll get back quickly but we'll be fine without him in the meantime.
