That is bullshit as now we have to win 2 0, 2-1 they go through, the utter tripe being spouted tonight pisses me off, we were shit pep picked the wrong team, and not 1 player in a city shirt tonight did them,or us proud, yet everyone thinks we are Man city 1 0 down no sweat, wake the fuck up, we have been sleep walking through games for a long time now and maybe that mentality had rubbed off

You do realise they're are three outcomes to a football match? Sometimes you lose games, get over it.
Rather today than Sunday.

It's HT and we were a save away from an away goal and taking the lead.
The whole game would have had a different complexion if that had gone in.
If Gundo had taken the Pen and missed people would have been up in arms that Sergio didn't take it!

We are more than capable of turning around a 1-0 deficit at home.

And it's not like we haven't Won the League Cup, are in the FA Cup Final and we are 6 PL wins off retaining the PL Title!

What a shit season! Pep is clueless! Bring back Hughes!
If we beat Palace on Sunday and turn this tie around next Wednesday the sentiment will all change.

Three or four needless off sides negated his decent work rate

We had a good break with KDB as well with Jesus ahead of him but he ran into a position miles offside which meant the only option was to play the ball to Sane and by then their defenders had got into a position to block him. If Jesus had stayed onside or made a run to draw defenders away, it could have created a good chance.

You would think he would learn but he never seems to and that's a worry. Very talented player but really need to become more aware.

I’m not sure there was that much game management in those games. We played very strong teams, missed chances and we just did enough to win.

No doubt Pep went into this one to ensure that we weren’t blitzed. He wanted to contain them, quiet the crowd and hopefully draw or win 1-0. It nearly worked perfectly, too. We missed a penalty and conceded a goal out of nothing at a time when we looked like winning it.

This was far from a disaster. We were always going to lose at least one game unluckily this season and this was one we could afford to. We will win it next week.
You say that, but avoiding getting blitzed isn't in this team's DNA. Opposing teams try and avoid getting blitzed by us don't they ??

if pep had dropped those players and we were playing palace tonight and lost then the title is over, he will play them at palace and we should win so were still in the title and were still in the CL all be it a 1-0 deficit which even a poor team could turn around

I can understand Pep is trying to battle on all fronts, but that was a bit too conservative. We could and should have beaten Spurs.
If we win at Palace, this will be hailed as not too bad a a result.
Lose, and we could see the benefit thieves rubbing their hands.

Win on Sunday the win the 2 home games, all is well in the world
Not often you win all 3 games when this sort of thing happens against the same team, so tonights was the one to lose if we had to

Losing obviously wasn't the intention.

Staying in the tie and conserving energy looked like the game plan from the off.

If we were playing Barca or Juve I might agree with a tactic like that.

Spurs? Nah. Lost four of last 6 games.

For me, putting the game out of their reach tonight would surely have been a better tactic making the 2nd leg a formality. Tonight was a mistake. Let’s hope it’s not a costly one

Thought the ref was a bit of a homer for Spurs but what's new there, at this stage of the CL when City play? Wasn't a huge baring on the game tonight though to be fair but it was still annoying at points.

Rose fouls Sterling with his arms all over the place, Gundogan immediately after gets pulled up for use of his arm across the player. A minute later Fernandinho is grabbed and pushed back by the face(Rose again or Mora maybe not sure who it was) and the ref doesn't see it... they were trying to get a reaction from Dinho all night in my view, orders from Poch?

Not picking the strongest team in every game because they will tire and end up dropping points in the league, which is the number 1 priority.
No chance PL is the priority for the owners, for us fans maybe, but not to Mansour, Khaldoon, Soriano. They want the CL for global recognition

The sense of entitlement of some newbie blues is absurd.

We can’t win every game you clowns and real football isnt PlayStation football you cant just play your best team game after game.

Pep picked the right team tonight and we’re bang in the tie and still favourites to progress

Did any blues who were there see what happened with that pitch invader. It looked as though delphy was about to confront him before the camera panned away

Wow what is this conserving energy bullshit

It''s supposedly what we have been doing the last few games. Just trying to work out which game we are conserving it for.

Personally, I think the players are mentally and physically tired and that is having a knock on affect on our performances of late.
