Red Card for Glen Johnson?!?!?!

Compared to Barry's sending off for his 2nd yellow when he blocked a player off (can't remember who).

The injustices are really hard to take aren't they.

Pretty sure it was Agger (The Barry booking).

In fairness to Stevie Starfish, the referee was nowhere near the Johnson incident and his vision was probably blocked, as I'm sure your GIF shows. Let me just take another look...

Oh.

I mean that is absolutely disgraceful isn't it. Bearing in mind it's a goalscoring opportunity at a critical point in the game, and the ref is staring at it and he decides that is not a yellow card offence. There can be only one word for it: BENT.

It looks nearer the halfway line to me but the point about Liverpool getting away with several fouls (was even more blatant at Anfield in the 1-1 draw) remains.

that line in the background is the penalty box mate, look at the way the ref points for the foul

Aha! Yes, you are correct. Johnson has obviously come in from the right flank and is now cutting across that side of the box.

Thanks!

Just watched soccer am's showboat - a good job clichy showboated out of the way of carrol's two footed launch. Another!!!

Yes, a few of us mentioned this lunge by Carroll but it got overshadowed by the Glen Johnson one.

P.S. Anyone got a link to what was shown on the showboat clip from Soccer AM?

You can complain to the FA here

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/WhoWeAre/ContactUs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/WhoWeAre/ContactUs</a>

You also need to register with them first and get what they call a 'FAN' number.

I have emailed them twice, once about the VK decision and once asking them to explain the difference between the Johnson and VK tackles. Suffice to say that I have had no response.
you won't do either, like they're gonna filter through their email system just to read emails of abuse from fellow blues telling them how shite they are at their job? They have some fat sad bastard sat at a computer desk clicking auto-reply all emails along with some bull shit email saying that nothing can be done as blah blah blah as the delete your email you spent your own time writing out...

You'd get much of a responce shouting at your floor boards whilst wearing a tin foil hat on your head!!

Ah right, so I just stand by and do nothing.

I didn't post abuse. I was polite and forthright. If several thousand blues emailed them it would ay least bring home to the FA the depth of feeling there is out here about their inconsistent approach.

PS : It say's 'Contact Us', not 'Don't Contact us because we will filter it out and ignore it'.

Use what resources there are out there to at least attempt to fight back. You never know it might just work one day.

Glen Johnson will be reported to the FA at 9am this morning.

Upon a failure of referee Lee Mason not including it in his match report, they will subsequently ask him to explain why and his reasons for it.

The FA's independent disciplinary committee will then assess retrospective action.

All courtesy of your neighbourhood Tolmie's Hairdoo.

This should be a matter of course TH irrespective of whether it is in his match report or not.

Under current law a 3 match ban from the FA will apply with no appeal simple as.

As stated often whether contact is made or not is not the issue when deciding on a ban or not in these cases.

It's done, regardless.

As it stands, the FA have been asked for a statement this morning from various outlets.

They are quite happy to bury their heads in the sand if no real pressure is brought to bare.

Only today's Sun carried an actual picture of the challenge, despite the rest of the tabloids running with the Gerrard/Mancini spat.

Funny that, could it surely be that David Maddock of The Mirror, Dominic King of the Mail, are Liverpool-based reporters and yet were doing the match quotes and didn't want to get on the wrong side of Kenny...

Is anything likely to come of this?

Likely the FA will write back, like they normally do, saying in very polite words, thank you for bringing it to our attention, we take all such letters seriously, you are an idiot and can fuck off.

They don't word it quite like that, but essentially that's the usual response.
