I’ve ran or hiked 6 days on the bounce and can feel it as well as the heat. Taking the wife’s car for a couple of days to recover. Absolutely shattered.Fairly quiet in here the last couple of days, I assume the heat has got the better of everyone?!
I'm planning on getting out early tomorrow currently showing 15 degrees at 7am which should be fairly pleasant
Dangerous?Went out this afternoon and ran 10km, felt like I was melting out there.
Dangerous?
Have suffered from dehydration before…….can be nastyEasy effort, so could have been worse, body was overheating a touch, straight in the cold shower when I got in.
Top tip is to run further (but slower) on your midweek runs.3rd ever Parkrun today and a PB! 29.07 Parkrun time and 13th in VM55-59 category. Quite pleased with my progress. Really feeling it on 3.5km and wanting so badly to stop but obviously didn’t. I’m hoping it gets progressively easier. Any tips on how to avoid or prolong the agony?? Like not doing it in the first place, perhaps! :-)
Keep it going mucker. Good work.71 year old foc, 3 years sober…just completed C25K Week 9, should I look at just improving my 5K time or look for new routine?
3 weeks until the Great North Run. Anyone else here doing it?
Here's my latest training update. I ran a local half marathon as part of my preparation this week.
