Well done. Which one did you do ?Well I finished my first park run this morning, but missed out by 5 seconds on 30 minutes. Really enjoyed running with others, and will be back next Saturday.

Well done Big Joe. I did my first one recently too. Deffo got the bug now. I think they’re a brilliant thing to do and it’s such a nice community of people. Glad you’re reeled in mate!Well I finished my first park run this morning, but missed out by 5 seconds on 30 minutes. Really enjoyed running with others, and will be back next Saturday.
Great stuff Staffs. Congratulations on the 150 mate.Completed my 150th Parkrun this morning at Isabel Trail in 29:31, which is exactly the same time as last week.
At least I'm predictably consistent!

Marple, Brabyns Park, a couple of short steep sections in the woods were really tough.Well done. Which one did you do ?
I’ve not done that one yet. On my list to do. I grew up in Marple.Marple, Brabyns Park, a couple of short steep sections in the woods were really tough.
I grew up there too, now live a few miles away in Romiley.I’ve not done that one yet. On my list to do. I grew up in Marple.
That’s a bloody brilliant time for 10k!Turned 60 earlier in the year and I am loving it. Stopped during COVID due to injury and then forgot about it. Started running a little in February now three 10k a runs a week. Don't want to injure myself so running for times is out. 10k in around 55 mins is good for me now. More walking as well.
Sorry to hear about your anxiety issues ob. My ex girlfriend really struggled mentally. She made the mistake of turning to alcohol to deal with it. She has never got off it and is lucky to still be alive tbh. Running is by far the best thing to do if anyone is struggling mentally. You need a focus in life that isn’t going to drag you into the abyss. Anything that gets you out and about amongst others has got to help.Morden again for me. 34 mins dead, was aiming for under 34 but let a kid and his mum finish in from of me. She also had 34 dead. Conditions lot better than last few weeks/months, nice breeze blowing across the course. Been struggling with my anxiety all week and even today almost turned for home on way there. I knew I wanted to do it, knew it would do me good and to start it the way I felt was a bigger achievement than finishing it.
Great North Run. Is tomorrow, chaps! Who's doing it? I've been documenting my preparations and here is my final training video.
Sounds like the time was irrelevant mate, well done for making a great decision which hopefully set you up for a nice dayMorden again for me. 34 mins dead, was aiming for under 34 but let a kid and his mum finish in from of me. Sorry to read that mate, been there re drugs and alcohol about 30 years ago. Almost lost my job, my flat etc, was really at rock bottom but pulled myself out of it through help of friends and family. Still enjoy a beer but no 4 days non stop. Couple of pints on Friday is about it these days. I still do struggle to go meet people some days and would rather sit at home. Missed football, gigs etc because of thisSorry to hear about your anxiety issues ob. My ex girlfriend really struggled mentally. She made the mistake of turning to alcohol to deal with it. Out and about this morning before the downpour
Managed 15k in 1hr 32mins
Passed some people that were coming towards the end of the Bullock Smithy hike; just for context, i recognised some of them from my walk around lyme park yesterday lunchtime! 55 mile hike/trail run which apparently can take the best part of 24 hours!
