I’m not in the habit of hurling insults.
This is a very myopic and simplistic account of what went on in the East in WW2.
The rules of engagement were very different on both sides and the Nazis were just as barbaric.
I think the question is what brought the Ruzzski in to fighting against those Nazis in the first place.
The Ruzzski were not our friends. Just another enemy of our enemy.

I didn't vote for my PM to go to war with Russia on behalf of Larry Fink.

Labour didn't have a mandate to crank up military production. What war for?

Russia isn't a threat to the West - they were trading partners until we blew up a pipeline a tanked our economies.

And the Ukrainians didn't ask for the Russians to invade them without justification, provocation or cause, but we are where we are.

Russia attacked Finland way before Germany invaded Poland. And the Nazis fought alongside the Fins to repel that attack.

If Hitler hadn't been such a nutcase. And hadn't documented his crazy ideas and spent years shouting about them, it's conceivable that the UK and France would have fought the Russians alongside the Germans.

Both Russia and Germany were building up military force ready for a significant war from the mid 30s. Who would start it and who would ally with who was TBC.
