Assuming sell-on fee is the usual 30%, and since the Swans want the whole £5mil fee, City would have to pay around £7.143mil to achieve this..In effect, we are giving £2.143mil to Chelsea for this transfer.

very underwhelmed with this transfer as he is average and nothing more, let's hope the transfer window sees players brought in who are top 4 material and not mid-table.

'Average' is happy to be a part of the squad and contribute when required.
I do however believe you do him an injustice,he's lightening quick, strong and athletic, has an eye for goal and is capable of adaptability while being professional and ambitious and young enough to greatly improve.

At 6m(ish) we have a bargain

Just in case anyone is confused reading all this, although he might sign, Scott Sinclair is not a city player...yet :-)

If this kid played for Barca and cost 25m because of his potential, everyone would be excited, but because he is from Swansea and only costs a few million, people are moaning. I think the kid has shown his potential over the past couple of years and playing with our world class players he can only improve. Just because Johnson was a bit part player, doesn't mean Sinclair will be. And if he is, it's not that bad anyway is it? This kid looks the business and in a game like last week, we could have done with him instead Of Silva who had a lousy game. When we need to fire balls across the box, having a real winger with Dzeko and Mario in the middle looks very tasty.
