Sergio's Offside, factually definitive or interpretive ?

I call bullshit on this, assuming you were there last night, did you really just stand there awaiting VAR to decide if you could cheer or not ?
I celebrated but not fully as I knew in the back of my mind it could be ruled out. Footballers instinctively look at linesman when they score. I am already like that with the referee when we score. Learned that from the Schalke game. You'll do it soon too. How can you celebrate when the goal may not count? You just can't. Learned behaviour. Some dogs are quicker on the uptake than others.

Go and watch rugby to see VAR used properly, ref asking for a specific check not men behind closed doors whispering in the refs ear.
Everyone sees it on screen and it becomes clear, we all know the rules.
Football to stubborn to follow the best practice available and turning into a bunch of muppets
I agree 100%.
Sadly football has always allowed cheats to prosper. The bigger the cheat the more the reward. Remember when Harald Schumacher flattened Patrick Battiston without come back and then Maradona blatantly handled a ball into the net, again without cone back.
VAR is no different. It allows football's favourites to be rewarded and football's unfavoured to be punished. As it stands it is not fit for purpose. It needs to be totally open otherwise it is a tool for corruption.

It’s the finger to the ear movement from the referee that I look for. Learnt behaviour can I have my doggy treat now?...:) (rapid tail wag)

And people dont want VAR when even after replays they still disagree if he was on or off. If VAR just helps to solve 20% of these issues its already a good thing.
Please go and watch Rugby Union. You'll enjoy it. Every try is replayed and debated before being given/not given. Will be right up your street.

As I said, I call bullshit on that, unless you have no emotion at all.

I've been like that for three years at least, I did it last night, linesman indicated goal, referee indicated goal.

How can you celebrate when the goal may not count?
Emotion.
