Shamima Begum

In the first post I said "maybe blame her parents" and in the second post I said if you are a kid brought up under poor parenting you are less likley to be a model citizen. Prey tell what part of those two sentences do you dissagree with and why??
I don’t disagree with either but you’ve no idea how she was brought up.

Someone being groomed is akin to someone else being groomed even if the desired outcomes and effects are different. Looks like we will have to agree to differ on how informed her choices might have been...

Of course, however there are different levels of grooming and aggressively raping someone doesn’t give them a chance to say yes or no.

She’s joined the caliphate and made that decision and got involved in those things. The Rotherham girls have done absolutely nothing wrong, whereas she’s done a lot wrong.

I’d rather kill myself than participate or be witness to executions of innocent people.

It’s a controversial opinion I know, but I believe her age when she made these terrible choices should be a consideration. Not to exonerate or excuse her actions, but to explain them and provide a marginal degree of context.

On the basis that she doesn’t have Bangladeshi citizenship, I think revoking her citizenship is a ridiculous idea btw. Absolutely preposterous.

She needs to be punished, severely so, but if she’s prepared to face that, and deal with the consequences of her actions, then she should be allowed back imo.

I agree with this. She is a British person that has committed crimes she should be tried for.

Has the U.K. ever tried this with any other Britain with the loophole of potential citizenship of their parents’ country? If not, why should it apply here?

There is some irony in grown men describing her as evil and then happily lining up to hang her, shoot her or throw her out of a plane.....

I’ve made this point previously, but if it’s such a good idea why haven’t they revoked the citizenship of Sutcliffe, Nilsen, Bamber, Bellfield, Tobin and Cregan; or is that different for some equally ridiculous reason?

Absolutely moronic idea.
