Social conservatism

It’s little things mate.Have you ever thought they might not like it ? About 30% of my friends are women, must admit I can be overly protective at times tbh.
If my mate had a suitcase and was managing I wouldn’t offer to carry it.
When we went to the Isle of Wight festival and me and my Mrs gave her friend a lift, as her husband was already there working, I carried her suitcase from her house to my car and from my car to her husband.
It’s just manners.
I treat women better than I treat men, that doesn’t mean I treat men badly either.
I am not talking about civil rights, employment and the law etc. I am talking about not acting like you do in the pub with your male friends, in front of women and showing them manners.
If there is a woman giving as good as she gets and swearing at people etc. Then yeah, I’d give her some banter back... but we’re obviously talking generally here.

None of you know me personally. My father is the nicest bloke you’d meet and several people on here who do know me, will confirm I am sound over a pint.
No need for the faux outrage lads, you all do the same as the above, every bloke does.

Over the last 10 years the male prison population has hovered at 80k in this country, whilst women is around 3-4k. Why do you think that is?
Why do you think there’s women dominated industries like nursing and male dominated industries like being a brickie or binman?
Why do you think male suicide rates are astronomical compared to women, despite women attempting suicide more often?
We are different, being treated differently doesn’t mean being treated worse.

Honest question and not whataboutery, if a woman kept coming at you on a night out and hit you 3 or 4 times, you’d lay in to them with all your strength, as you would to a man? Fair fucks if so.and i think the opposite, if you treat the opposite gender differently, you are doing it because you are too cowardly to accept them as equal

As I already saidni na previous post, though popular in the US it isn't exclusiveSocial Conservatism is simply the non-economic, social polices of conservatism. It’s nothing more and nothing less. How welfare is spent and what services are nationalised under a Conservative Govt are social conservatism. But also about family units, patriotism and traditions of the working class.
It’s where working class people who aren’t socialists find themselves on the spectrum. It’s what the centre-right of the Liberal Democrats are, it’s what the One Nation Tories are where they feel the middle and upper classes have an obligation to the working class.
That’s it. That’s all it is.
But what you describe here is one nation conservatism, and yes many working class are conservative in many aspects, but also have a more liberal outlook that doesn't fall into social conservatism.
social consevatism is guided by a religous aspect, that is apparent in many Islamic nations which are mainly social conservative alongside religious conservative and Hinduvta movement in India.
Add to that in the past the National party ran a very social conservative program during their governance of apparthied south africa.
Though many aspects withing social conservatism also can be in other forms of conservatism, it has a dogmatic ideology which leans and attracts the more socially strict right.
And yes the cornerstone group which is the one part of the tories that call themselves SC harp on about liberties and freedom of speach, but that is because they don't like being challenged on some of their more regressive opinions on same sex couples, abortion, sanctity of the church, the absolute necessity of monarchy etc.
I have no issue with people having conserative values, you will find that many basic values on the left and right will be similar, with a slight twist on how they should be adhered to.

as with a bloke it depends.
i would use the amount of force i thought was required to stop her twatting me and keep me and mine safe.
the same calculation i would make if it was a bloke.
