Point in case about desire. If anyone can remember from the W. Brom game. There was a cross from the right wing in the second half to the far post. Mendy was there, one on one with a defender. There was no desire or urgency to win the ball. Robertson, Liverpool, would have scored, no doubt. When the camera went to Pep he was so frustrated. No wonder Mendy was taken off.
 
Rodri and Sterling need a rest, they've played the most minutes this season which is probably contributing to their bad form. Neither are bad players, just need a breather.

I'd like to see Torres and Bernardo either side of Jesus. De-Bruyne, Gundo and Ferna in midfield.

This game might actually suit us better as Southampton don't tend to put 10 men behind the ball. They'll take risks and leave gaps.

One day we'll create 4 or 5 good chances and they'll all go in!
 
Guardiola needs to play Torres and Aguero with Jesus on left. Jesus is not bad finisher by winger's standards and Torres + Aguero are our best finishers at the club.

Sterling should be dropped. Not going to happen but im puzzled why Pep rarely plays Jesus on the left, especially as when hes played there, he has done well. Brazil also play him out wide and has good record.

We would probably get more goals this way.
 
Honestly going by the last two games the most I can see is a draw and that’s being kind,Southampton are playing pretty well at the moment so wouldn’t be surprised if we got turned over ..
 
Utd 5 points Liverpool 2 points and Everton 2 points are the only teams that have picked up more than us in our poor form over the last 5 games, now we come up against a top four team having not won against one yet this season despite out playing all, Southampton are no mugs and will set out to frustrate but we have enough quality, the big battle will be Ward-Prowse vs Rodri
 
Sad to say looking forward to this match more as a duty than something to enjoy. We desperately need a spark of something to change our fortunes and I’m ever the optimist but can’t see anything but struggle tomorrow
 
Can’t believe I’ve gone for a loss, but with current form I can’t even see us getting a point.

Dunno mate , probs . Also stuck up for John stones all summer and everyone wanted him binned , so swings and roundabouts .
It’s peoples opinions not facts . It’s a football forum not mastermind
