Most sat navs can be set to day mode permanently.As if it wasn't bad enough that my headlights come on if I drive under a bridge, the satnav goes into night-mode too. So much for automated technology making life easier.

Waze definitely does this. I think it’s to do with when sunset technically is, so it’ll go into night mode at twilight.That would be a good feature instead of the shrill harridan that normally barks at me. I'm never under a bridge long enough to quite work it out. I think it changes colours, maybe goes to a softer backlight.
