Little thing annoyed me... coffee machines that say "... wait while we craft your coffee" or auto-checkouts that tell me "they were glad to see me"

Maybe it's my bad luck but every single time I need a plumber it's an absolute pain in the arse. Not responding, having to be chased up, not turning up on time or just not turning up at all. Any plumbing issue is a time consuming chore to resolve every time because of the people I encounter I'm the trade. Not to mention the usual "it'll cost £120 just for me to come and have a look" call out charge rip off. I'm sure there are some great plumbers out there, of course.Car mechanics , is there any other trade that mess you about and inconvenience you as much ?
Never have much issue with mechanics, though. Have a local garage I used to work at as a teenager and still use them for the family cars, they're great and never let us down.

Can't they come up with their own phrases to describe their level of disgruntlement?
And yes, some of the things they are complaining about are for valid reasons. However, I do think a large part of society these days isn't happy unless they have something to complain about.

Tonight, MatthewIMHO the vast majority of 4x4 haters are generally in that camp - its pathetic to be honest - I had nearly 20 years running around in them as my daily drivers and saw/heard it ALL the time - and no I didn't need one for anytning specific, but during the time it suited me/family and I F*CKING wanted one and could afford it (4 actually)! My favourite gripe was "oh the A-pillar is soooo huge you're clearly can't see out of it properly and a danger to little johnny pedestrian jaywalking in the street and will MOW HIM DOWN MERCILESSLY!" followed closely by the "Think of the polar bears!" And yes I took them ALL off-road!
