There is no chance Monaco will sell Mbappe for 50 M.
And I think we can get better CB than Van Dijk

Don't think that will be the plan. Pep likes changing formations so there are more than 11 positions and he likes flexibility amongst his players so you may get players playing across several positions. I think a more likely plan would be 17 players likely to start games , two or three players prepared to be used sparingly and some younger players.

If Valverde goes to Barcelona I think there's a fair chance Laporte could follow him there. Hope I'm wrong though.

There's a number of mitigating factors towards such a move, however;
1. Bilbao will be reluctant, as they always are, to send a Basque talent to a divisional rival. All the more so with Laporte who they have painted as being a club hero etc.
2. Barcelona are financially in no position to look at meeting the release clause currently tied to Laporte without shifting talent, something they are more likely to do in an attempt to extend Messi.
3. Barcelona aren't going to be replacing Pique any time soon and, arguably, they have a sufficient central defender to go alongside him in Umtiti who is still only 23.

The fact City didn't acquire Laporte last transfer window constituted a serious and completely unplanned blow, to the extent that no plan B was even considered (Laporte literally pulled out at the 11th hour). With that in mind, it makes sense to suggest that City will make another run on the lad who, despite having diminishing returns this season, still represents the ideal form of a Pep central defender and is at the right age to slot in next to Stones for the forseeable.

Trying to balance overall cost and meeting the home grown rules. There looks like plenty leaving in the summer either being released or sold.

Also was trying to have a team that has decent mentors so the squad would be more like a rotational 22 than a first and second team although some of the players you could see would directly seen as a number two and would be used in cups etc. With players that can play multiple positions too to keep the squad trim.

Other youngsters could do with some decent loans. Iheanaco needs more game time next year in the premiership and won't get it competing with Aguero and Jesus right now

We have a lot of 30+ old players. Therefore I think we need to focus on young talented players.
Bravo out - Ederson In
Clichy out Grimaldo, sessegnon in
Sanga, zaba out - Henrich, fabinho in
Kolarov out - Laporte in
Fernardo, yaya delph out-Isco, fabinho in
Navas, nolito out- Mbappe In

Jesus, Sane, Sterling, Laporte, Henrich, Grimaldo, Mbappe, Stones - All are WC potential and U23.
BOOM!

No 'BOOM!' until the transfer window opens, it's banned.

22 players and you leave Fernandinho out? Go and get yourself a full English breakkie and sober the fuck up.

I like that starting 11, but 3 of that back-up 11 would never be fit, and a general lack of depth in quality and experience would worry me with that squad. We somehow has LESS established centre-halves than this season.

Also, Fernandinho out??

I'd left him out as i thought he was out of contract in the summer but i think actually it's next year!

With the three never fit, do you mean Kompany, Ox and Wilshere? With Ox and Wilshere I was making the assumption that they would be fit when not with Arsenal's medical team! :-)

Kompany being the other, if we can get him fit he's exceptional and that's what i was going for with the massive rest he's getting this season I'm hoping Pep is trying to prolong his City career by making sure his injuries have had time to fully heal.

I know what you mean looking at the defence but if (and it's a big if) Kompany gets fit again we'd have three accomplished centre halves and an academy prospect. Would be good to see Tosin in the team so we can properly test him.

Also, i could only fit 22 on the app, others from the academy could fill out the squad possibly. My thinking was, how do you keep 24-25 players happy that are expecting to play each week?

Whose considered the "next Toure" with his height, power, passing, defending that could replace him?
