I think there will come a point where we will maybe make signings with an eye on leaving some room for our youth academy players to come through to the first team. I'm not sure what academy Mbappé came from(Monaco's own?) but we surely have one a of the best in the world now and so we'll be the ones making the noise about which players are the ones to watch soon enough. Our U18s have some of the most promising youth players in Europe right now. Maybe some of our signings this summer will be top class late 20s early 30s who have the fitness levels to fit our system, that will also be happy to share game time with a young prospect coming through in the next few years. There's some positions where we might still be buying in their early 20's like left back(unless we have someone in the academy I'm missing) but right back we have Maffeo midfield/attacking midfield we have Diaz and Foden, we have a winger in Sancho and so on. We also have Moreno and Roberts who have plenty of potential themselves, we have quite a lot of players to wait and see on already and should be careful about spending big on a younger player when we might not have to. Some top class short term players would be a smarter move this summer in some positions for me, ones that can genuinely give us a couple of seasons at top level, after that we'll see if we need to spend again or we already have a solution on the books.
