Super Joey Hart?

Five seconds before the penalty was awarded "hart decided to Punch the ball out "wide when the easiest option was to catch the ball run to the edge of his box&hold onto it for another 6seconds!! (that would have resulted in no chance of the Psg team getting in our penalty area. The second goal any goalkeeper worth his salt would have caught that ball also!! The 1st goal was comical "at any level in football the golden rule is once you've scored is to keep it tight for5 mins" instead silly bollocks INVITED pressure on our defence by passing it out with undoutably 1of europes elite strikers loitering on our box(incidentally give zlatan them chances again &he,ll be walking away with the match ball)
Lol,get used to passing out from the back

I've not changed my mind since last night. He needs to learn to catch the fucking ball, a basic skill for a goalkeeper in my books and if he wants to punch everything then boxing is his game and i think he was stupid to make the pass on the first goal. You pass it to the sides, not out in front of your goal where there is an opposition player lurking. Yes Ferns control was non existent and he fucked up royally but why is he put in that position?

On the second, again he got both hands to a header that was not a bullet so why not try and catch it instead of pushing it out to the edge of his own 6 yard box to one of theirs for a tap in?

Great Hollywood keeper, shot stopper, one of the best as the penalty save showed but its the basics he has to work on and get consistently right.

He has to be able to trust the other guys, fernando was at fault here, joe did what he will be expected to do all the time next season

I want him to pass it out from the back, got no issue whatsoever but he had 3 passes on last night. One left, one right and one in front and he picks the one in front, marked by Ibra and directly in front of his open goal.

It was a brain fart, followed by an even bigger one by Fern.

If you see it from the camera behind the goal,as hart passes to Fernando,he points telling him to give it to Sagna(I think)...why dint hart just give it to Sagna?

Both to blame IMO,wrong decision from hart and shite control from Fernando.

Agreed. The only ball Fern can play is literally back to Joe anyway and as you say, Joe could see the right pass as he was pointing to it so just do it yourself and alleviate any danger.

Since when does 10 yards away constitute marked?

His pass to Fern has to clear the box and the space Ibra had to make up was tiny and took literally a second, as shown by the goal.

It was a stupid pass.

The space wasn't tiny? Look at the pitch markings, it's almost 10 yards. Cavani was 12 yards away from Otter.

How long does it take to make that space up at this level?

As i said, Fern had to also wait for the goal kick to clear the area and as soon as Joe hits it, Ibra is on the move.

Ferns control is non existent, its a terrible mistake to make but he should not have been put in that position because Joe had easier passes on that put nobody under pressure or danger.

With 2 mins to go till half time away in the CL 1-0 up, you don't make that pass. You muller it upfield. Just some basic game management to learn from that's all.

What easier passes? If he plays it to Otter then Cavani pins him in the corner at which point Ibra has Nando covered.

If he plays it to Manga then Ibra closes that space down as quickly as Nando was closed down.

All Nando had to do was play the ball first time to Otter who then switches it to Manga who is in acres because Ibra is pulled across.

I don't know why I'm bothering, this is simple, basic stuff. Like I said earlier I'm gobsmacked that Joe is getting any of the blame on this.

Gobsmacked insinuates there's not even a question to be asked. As we conceded I think it's more than acceptable to query who was at fault and to what degree. You clearing Hart of all blame is as bad as those trying to pin the whole thing on him. Mistakes were made. Fernando's ultimately cost the goal but Hart doesn't escape without some blame.

Had the ball gone to Otamendi he had a player ahead in space who he could have passed it to fairly easily. The Fernando option was the riskiest of the two.

That is what I'm insinuating. Keeper plays simple ten yard pass to midfielder who drops to the edge of the box and is in plenty of space. It's the obvious ball, it's why the centre backs go out to the full back positions to allow the holding mid to drop deep centrally to receive it. It happens all the time with teams that play out from the back. Like I said, basic stuff.
