'Innocent' and 'lack of evidence' are not the same thing. When will you understand that?

The FA CAN do something as admitting racial slurs carries a punishment. Terry clearly lied as his account of 'repeating' what Ferdinand 'said' as a question has proved a falsehood even by video evidence in the clip.

"F*ck off, f*ck off, f*ck off... Black c**t!" does not in anyway come close to "Do you think I called you a black c**t?"...

Hold up chaps...this one is going to appeal....Bigga's got more evidence & is joining the CPS as a consulting expert - they obviously didn't know what they were doing.

Typical Clown. Even they say on the news that the FA has said 'they will conclude their own investigation'.

So stick it, you ass.
I'm sure they will. Just like they conducted it in the first place. Anything other than a let off will open themselves up to accusations of bias & possible legal action from Chelsea & JT.
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to sticking & the relevance of the donkey?

Spot on, the FA may conduct an investigation it is out of their hands on giving anything other than a no case to answer/ not guilty verdict, they may have a lower standard of proof but there is really no way they can justify a decision that contradicts the decision made by the court. Will some people just leave it alone now, Terry may be a vile bastard but he has n't been found guilty of the offence, and if he had what would he have lost £2,500? He has obviously spent more on legal costs, to preserve what so called reputation he has left, which no doubt would have been damaged by going to court anyway. The anti-racism campaigners who said they are dissappointed can fuck off, if he is n't guity then he is n't guilty, and despite being an odious lump of turd does n't deserve to be treated like his and used for their own ends. Racism is a serious issue, and to treat people who have n't done anthing wrong with respect to that would only belittle its seriousness.

What the fook?? The FA have not even STARTED an investigation!! It stated it did not want to prejudice a case going through the courts! The FA are a separate body and their punishments are not set within the guidelines of the courts. All players are subject to FA rules. Why didn't Suarez take the FA to court, then?

As per usual, you know fook all...

This whole trial has been a public disaster for the CPS and the cops. The only winners are the lawyers who argued the case out.

Generally speaking, a magistrates court trial is a fairly low key affair, and is usually a day or two. A 3 day trial would be unusual, so to have a full 5 day scenario being played out in the circumstances that it has is nothing short of disgraceful and a huge waste of public money. The CPS should have pulled the plug way before this circus was allowed to happen. I say that for a few reasons. Firstly, for a small fine, the end just doesn't justify the means. Secondly, the thought that had he been found guilty, it might have generated some huge impact in either the game or the community is naive. Thirdly, if they had pulled the plug, Terry would still be under suspicion, thereby giving the FA a clearer route to any punishment if found guilty by them and also, Terry wouldn't be able to have the moral high ground of being acquitted.

You have called it spot on, whilst Terry having the moral high ground just does n't seem right. The Naive point is good as well if there really was a serious problem with racism it would have been swept under the carpet and had hardly any media coverage, the CPS should have treated him like any other suspect rather than take him to court with fuck all evidence and embarrass themselves.

It would have been extremely difficult for the CPS to have pulled the plug bearing in mind the youtube clips which appeared to be very damaging. If they hadn't tested the evidense in court there would have been a public outcry. The Chief Magistrate in his ruling stated that the Crown had a strong case and that there was a case to answer.

To be fair to the CPS, the unusual length of the trial isn't down to them.
Its for the Court, mainly the Magistrate, to control.

What a complete waste of time and money. Should never have gone to court. FA should get to grips with this with their own investigation as per Suarez/Evra and dish out a fine and/or ban accordingly.

The real suffering was to England. The FA went behind Capello's back and left him no choice but to resign. Like him or not, he was the one who had prepared for the job of leading England into the Euros. England ended up in turmoil and Roy couldn't be expected to do anything with the very short time he had.

If it reaslly is true that you are innocent until proven guilty then why didn't they leave Terry as captain until the trial? As it is we've got the English FA putting landmines under the national team and then wondering why we never win anything.
