had similar saying they weren't good enough to break us down

First clean sheet since the game at Selhurst Park early last month. Surely not coincidence that Vinnie was missing in the majority of those intervening games.Big call to leave magala out for otemendi but him and vinny looked liked they had played together for years! Great feam performance!

Rojo got away with booking ,wonder why?
I was happy with the performance and the point. Yesterday was the type of performance we should be putting in in the Champions League, instead of being wide open in the middle of the park.
I have to say though that Yaya is becoming a major problem. I love the guy, he has been a big reason for our success and I have backed him all the way when others have criticized him. We are now at a stage though where he no longer "fits" against decent opposition, whereas previously you knew Yaya was a big game player.
I don't know what it is but in a midfield 2 playing Yaya leaves us wide open in the middle, in a 3 with him further forward we lose his passing ability and control of the ball in the middle of the park and lets face it we have others who can play that number 10 role much more effectively than he can. If we play him deeper as part of a rigid 3 in the middle, I think that could work but then one of Sterling, Silva or KDB has to be dropped, we all know who that would be and I don't think we have paid £44m to bench him.
I think I would lean more to leaving Yaya out of the team in CL games and Prem games against our rivals but only if we had anyone good enough to replace him, who do we have? Fernando! Great! Delph could work alongside Fernandinho but the guy cant get fit.
If the roles had been reversed the stamp would have been shown every hour today on Sky with calls for Navas to get a retrospective red card.
I thought that Pellers shown up LVG tactics for the conservative style it is. It is much harder to nullify a top attacking team like Barca, Real, Bayern than a good defensive team like this current United team. The other approach is to attack them relentlessly from the start like Arsenal did which I am convinced we would have done with a fit Silva and Aguero to call on. Personally I am more than happy with the point and the performance to put us top knowing we will revert back to the entertaining attacking winning football, what can the rags look forward to?It was imperative yesterday that we didn't do what we did against Spurs: go away to a team challenging for a top 4 spot and get battered because we underestimate them.
Thankfully, we were solid defensively but beyond that it just wasn't our day. We struggled to get out of first gear, buckled under their high pressing and didn't show what we can do.
A point saw us go back to the top though so take it and look forward to Silva and Aguero reminding them who's in charge back at the Etihad later in the season.
Only seen this twice - once in real time and again in slo-mo - and would like to see it again before making a definite judgement. But from what I saw it appeared ambiguous with Rojo not significantly changing his stride nor jamming his boot down.
Well 8/9 in 3000 isn't too bad I suppose, none sat near me thoughThere were about 8 Belgium fans with half and half fans and one Arab guy on the concourse before kick off
Persistent foul and that foul itself warrants booking for stopping the break. He was out of position and knew exactly he had no chance to keep up with Navas .If the roles had been reversed the stamp would have been shown every hour today on Sky with calls for Navas to get a retrospective red card.
