The UK haven't had a half decent song in God knows how long though

The process to be the UKs act was a Saturday night, cringe-worthy, game show format until they adopted the process of simply having the BBC pick some unknown person at random pretty much.

Italy hold a competition that genuinely rivals Eurovision as a whole for example.

If the UK took it seriously, the voting would reflect that but they seem happy with the 'Father Ted' approach of throwing it away on purpose.

I like the time that they selected Englebert Humperdink to do it as he was still really popular in Eastern Europe, he failed miserably I will never forget his pissed off face after only getting 12 points lol

Not that his performance was shit either tbh
