We've been waiting for 30 odd years for City to come to life, and now suddenly it's now or never? No wayBlueCityfan said:If we dont get top 4 this season...then i will lose all my hope of a bright bluemoon rising future.
Who the hell would join us then? Even teams like Shaktar are in the CL. But the worlds wealthiest team is not.
Still think we will finish in the top 4. Spurs have some dodgy relegations teams against them. Teams like Wigan, Birmingham, West brom will be desperate for points. And i think they will drop points from spurs.
+ Tottenham play liverpool, Chelsea, and us away. + Arsenal at their home.
+ They have 2 very hard games against Real. I seriously can't see them getting a good run. It will be too much tough games for them.
Mancini cannot use "tiredness" as an excuse anymore. All our players are fit and we have 1 fa cup game left...possibly 2..and the final will be after the league has ended.
So we should get a good run. Tottenham have have 2-3 games more left than us. We should make it. Chelsea have also United and spurs..+ some hard away games. If everything goes wel..we could be in the top 3 at the end of the season.
Our players are returning to fitness, but surely you have noticed that Tevez has gone the longest spell of his City career without a goal and is now injured? And how could you forget the hour we played on Thursday with 10 men culminating in our 20th game in 80 days? Wasn't an accident that we started well against Chelsea and then faded.
I suppose some fans will claim Tevez's form is down to Mancini's tactics or some such nonsense.
I've been starting to play the fixture game for some time now, and every time I do it I get different results and predictions. Oddly enough I am more confident after this weekend than I was because I always had Chelsea down as a defeat, but I expected Spurs to beat West Ham. I have City finishing 4th 3 points ahead of Spurs with the game between us a draw. If we can go into that game ahead, then Spurs will have to attack us, and we can sit back and counter attack them. Crucial that we go into that game ahead of them.
The pressure is on Spurs. As you say they have more fixtures than us now, and every game that goes by the pressure gets that little bit greater.
If some City fans are panicking, then you can guarantee they will be too. I hear that Defoe is getting a lot of stick at the moment, but for me it's the performance of players like Van Der Vaart and Modric that have dipped. The ace they have is Bale. He will improve with games, but on the other hand, every premiership team knows about hi now, and he'll be a marked man. It's noticeable that he has been much more effective in Europe this season than the Premiership.
We have AJ, Milner and De Jong back now after lengthy spells out. And Tevez will get some vital rest. Players like Balotelli and Dzeko will also have a chance to train and get settled in. They will be vital in the run in. I am very confident that performances and results will improve after the break. Every game is a Cup Final, and it's going to be so important to fill the ground, and lift the team. Starts with Sunderland
