We were cleared of cheating. Are you saying we got away with cheating?
Do some people on here just not understand the word 'allege' and all of its derivatives?

Edit: Thank you @patrickblue & @mad4city , only just seen your posts.

It's a simple enough concept to get your head around but you're correct in that 'knee jerk reactions' have been taken to a whole new level in this day and age. Nobody takes time to think and consider what they're reading anymore. In fact it seems that people only read headlines nowadays and sod the actual content.

True pal, the minute we signed up for it I'd imagine there were mutterings of oh shit what have we just done. We were obviously never comfortable with the decision, just one of those shit decisions we all make at some point in our lives
Or maybe City found themselves in a very difficult position and exploited it brilliantly to destroy the ESL and give Manchester United (demonstrations outside the ground), Arsenal (likewise) and Liverpool (coach welcomes of their own) and takeover rows on the horizon some real problems for the summer. Barcelona must be feeling pretty sick along with Madrid, and what's Agnelli doing these days?

Rock and a hard place.
It was like one those cartoons where the character's eyes show £ signs. Except when we saw the small print the £ signs weren't as big as we thought they'd be.

It was greed, pure and simple. We could have done the right thing and said no. We don't need the money. We have no debt. Soriano said we'd be profitable again this year.

If there was one club that didnt need the Super League it is our club , the other eleven are having finanacial issues and millions even billions in debt , apparentley we reluctantly joined and were allegedly the last club to join. No idea why our managment went along with it , maybe being left behind was part of the reason but maybe the media should give us a little credit , we were the first to put the spanner in the works NOT Chelsea.
Then the whole super league fiasco fell like a pack of cards , a lesson learned , the other clubs are despereate for money and their motives were pure self preservation , i think our club is better than that.
