The "which famous person died today" thread

That’s very sad news.

Mrs Vienna and I loved "Benidorm," and watched it religiously.

Elsie played Noreen brilliantly and she was a fantastic side-kick to "The Oracle".

R. I. P. Elsie.
The first series was good, the second ok and the rest were complete shite.
Noreen was a good character though and it’s sad she’s died.

Not a household name but for some of us she was a legend who walked with legends

RIP Beverley

Oh dear Ted has died - sometimes he was funnier than Bob & Paul - RIP and how wonderful that your years were surrounded by much love.
Apparently Ted belonged to one of the lady producers of the show, he wasn't anything to do with Bob Mortimer at all.

Bob and Pauls sidekick that fetched warmth and humour to the series. Very handsome animal for a patterdale and born and whelped from the Emerald isles.

One of our favourite shows, and not all about the fishing, with our indelible duo bouncing off their stories of lifes trials and tribulations.

Favourite segments were Bob doing his Robert De Niro impersonation "you will not marry that girl"

And Ted pretending to be an explosive expert. RIP lad. .. Sniff : (

I defy anyone not to laugh when Richard Herring visited and Ted was dressed up in a dickie bow and tux.

Apparently Ted is in one episode of the new series.

I thought the show where Ted was a "Security Dog" ( I think it was a Christmas Show) was brilliant as well.

Great show and Ted was very much part of it.

My friend’s dog died this week aged 11 and they are devastated.

I know it’s a ticking clock with dogs but the thought of it fills me with dread. I was with mine the night we got her as she wouldn’t settle so I slept downstairs with her and she has had been such a big part of the last 7 years. I’ll be heartbroken when she goes.

Founder of WCW, and some news channel.
I think it’s safe to say that CNN changed the world of news reporting, and possibly television in general.

It was very innovative, when it first appeared.

Ted also had the very good fortune to have been married to Jane Fonda for ten years.

R. I. P. Ted.

I remember him more for TCM (Turner Classic Movies) it was free to air channel on the new fangled satellite platforms, it was TNT for kids with Jonny Bravo etc in the day and morphed into a golden oldie movie channel after 7pm.
