Transfer Strategy

Sadio Mane was signed by Liverpool from Southampton and he was a great player for them.

I'm not so focused on the club, I'm just focused on the quality of player.

I suppose it would be a gamble considering he has performed well for only half a season in the premier league, but sometimes with players you can just see they have got what it takes.

I might be wrong, but I really like the look of this player. Has all the attributes this side are sorely missing.
As long as Pep is here we won't see that type of player in the side. I want Mbappe but that isn't happening or would really work in this set up either.

Mitoma isn't like Sterling or Sane though is he?

He's not only a flying winger, but he's a technician too. A very intelligent player that has very good ball retention.

He would be perfect for Pep.

He is mid twenties and this is his first full season in the Premier League after a loan spell in Belgium. Brighton can very easily rinse us on this. If supporters aren't too impressed with Sergio Gomes then this might not be the wisest of choices either (although he is playing with confidence at the minute)

Do we have one? We go into every season without a player in a key position.

We've spent the last two windows, after signing the best striker in the world, systematically weakening the team, by removing its pace, energy, youth and versatility.

Good job our manager is a genius, otherwise his colleagues might look a little foolish.

Going to be a fascinating summer as we really need a bit of an overhaul. Our squad depth is paper thin and the majority of our most important players are the wrong side of 30

i do think a bit of a overhaul is coming personally. i think weve been saving past couple of years to do one. And i have no doubts pep signed the contract knowing its a rebuild

How many players would be needed to make our squad as competitive as it has been in recent seasons? I am thinking a a fair few as we will need to replace players who are leaving and add players to the squad regardless of outgoings.

i think 3 is needed before any leave. a midfielder, a left back and a winger. Thats before potentially bernie, laporte go imo

unfortunately none of us know what the transfer budget will be in the summer. Failing to spend big on top quality will result in us becoming like Liverpool this season.

Three or four.
