We say "el acoplado" to Biden.
Acoplado means something like "fitted", "to lock on" is "acoplar", in carpentry world and this kind of stuff.
Acoplar means join a piece to something.
But also we say "el acoplado" to typical guy in a group of friends who is like... he is just a friend of one of them. We usually barely have a connection with him. He barely speaks or interacts. We just tolerate it as a favor to that friend who is our friend.
Also exemple of "acoplado", is when you are with a group of friends in a table, in a bar, taking drink, and at next table there is a guy who starts talking to you. "This is a great place". "Nice night, perfect temperature". Etc. He ends up taking over. There is a moment where it seems that he belongs to your group of friends.
This guy is the "acoplado", because he is getting something with some infiltration. White House in this case.
