Win the league-You strengthen. I thought we had with the incomings but this to me is such a risky strategy.
If Kun,Jov or Edin pick up a knock then we are expecting 2 to play every game considering we are looking at 2-3 games per week until 2 yr?
I'm not sure the club has got this right. If Negredo wants out then so be it but why no David Villa for example???

Very confused by all this.

Its got to be Villa its the easy option for now

Great deal if he goes with a 25 Euro agreed fee.

We can play with one up top if needed and have three. Plus we can go again in Jan with over 40M to spend.

STOP FLAPPING STOP FLAPPING STOP FLAPPING STOP FLAPPING

I have no problem whatsoever with Negredo wanting to leave or City wanting to get rid of him. But to not bring someone else in when we play two up front a lot of the time seems really odd. Doesn't make sense. Especially when you look at Kun and Jovetić's last two years' injury records.

And why Negredo wants to go to midtable club like Valencia? Some are saying here that he is probably pissed off due to left out of CL squad. Well Valencia isn't in Champions League. So he wouldn't get CL football there either. Maybe he is just home sick. Well he is 29 anyways so atleast reduces our average age if something positive.

Very risky business this blues we could be out ov 3 comps come jan and everybody will blame it on this. I also think city fans will show there frustration with there feet can't see many sell outs this season and defo non in the champs lge. Just hope someone within the club comes out and explains the reasons for it!
Stupid comment even by my standards

Can't play the European games (he was the one being dropped) and he wanted to go And injured

The window opens less than 12 weeks after he would be able to play

Its stupid to not replace him not sell him lets see how many sell outs we've had by jan 4/5 tops!
Every league game as per usual.

We've basically gone from having a 10/10 strike force compared to United's 6/10 strike force to both having an 8/10 strike force in one day. Aguero is more talented than Falcao, but Falcao scores for fun. Jovetic/Dzeko vs. Van Persie/Rooney, not much between them I guess. Well done City.

Well that's gone well. The one area we had an advantage over Chelsea in was up front. We could ride out an injury to a striker. They go and buy Remy while we offload Negredo with no replacement. Strange business.
Is this the 4th season in a row now that we were supposed to have 4 strikers but end up with 3? Tevez going AWOL, Balotelli being shit and then sold in January, and last season with Jovetic being a write off. We sneaked it in a couple of those seasons. Don't see it happening this time, I'm afraid.

I don't understand why this is happening... I don't consider myself a flapper but this seems like a disaster to me.

Got to think there's something behind the scenes. He's not happy, family issues etc.

If there is a £20+ million obligatory clause in the loan deal then I think its a great deal for the club.

It doesn't really matter whether we get a replacement this window as we could always switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation like we played under Mancini. Personally I think that would be our strongest formation which will allow us to accommodate Fern, Nando and Yaya.

If we can end the window with a net spend of below £10 million considering the players we have brought in then it will be a fantastic window. Next summer is when we can really take the shackles off and no team will be able to outbid us for our targets.

Its the same every summer in that genuine world class talent becomes available. This season it was Di Maria and the season before was Ozil. Next season will be no different and when Reus or whoever is after a new challenge, we will be able to go balls deep after them. Where as the likes of Arsenal and United will still be feeling the effects of spending fortunes on the likes of Mata and Ozil and not getting the expected return from them.

Just responding to say I'm with you. Seems like the consensus is that our executives have lost their minds and this is a dark day in City's history. If Richards & Nasty find last-minute homes we're going to finish this summer with a transfer profit. And if you look at our 22 players I can't see how it's not a stronger squad, better suited to fight on all fronts, than last season's (even with Negredo's exit). And the reality of FFP is that every penny saved is a penny that can go toward someone like Reus in another window. If we're that screwed in January -- without the one month of football that Negredo would've been able to play, coming back from injury -- then we go out and plug the hole. I just don't see this as the sky falling, like some others have taken to viewing it.

21 - unless you are either counting of sinclar, guidetti, Wright. And I wont even count mapard, his legs are gone so basically we are 4 injuries away from not being able to name a full bench

Nail on the head. Never mind the 20 mill income is good for us, this season could be a write off if aguero and jovetic go down. One way you could look at it is that it could make use 4-5-1 option more.
