We've basically gone from having a 10/10 strike force compared to United's 6/10 strike force to both having an 8/10 strike force in one day. Aguero is more talented than Falcao, but Falcao scores for fun. Jovetic/Dzeko vs. Van Persie/Rooney, not much between them I guess. Well done City.

Undeniably we have gone backwards, but sometimes you have to take a backwards step to go forwards.

Even if there were no UEFA sanctions I would not pay Falcao £346k pw unless I knew he had fully recovered from his knee op and even then?

We shouldn't pay ANYONE £346k a week, not even Messi. Ludicrous amount of money, especially when attached to a £55m transfer fee. What you gain in player skill you would lose ten fold in dressing room unrest if, as we suspect, players are motivated by money.

This is seriously stupid by us. Aguero has spent the last 2 years with various injuries, Jovetic has spent his entire career consistently injured so that leaves us with Dzeko who is the only physically reliable player up top.

On top of that, Yaya will miss around 6 weeks in January.

We have a very tough CL group, with potential 6 pointers sandwiched in between the CL games. There's an obvious need to freshen it up. That was evident on Saturday, and that's only three games into the season.

It's like we haven't learnt from our last title defending season. Losing a 23 goal striker is a disaster, if we want to be successful in all four competitions.

This isn't needless flapping. I would be just as concerned had we only had 3 centre backs. I'd be even more concerned if two of the three had spent large parts of last season injured.

This will bite us on the arse if Negredo goes. We need four forwards. This has been handled comically bad.

assuming Negredo didn't come in to the office of Txiki and Soriano first thing this morning its a fair bet Negredo has wanted out for some time with that in mind why leave till now and more importantly leave us with only three strikers not a flapper and not looking forward to Jim White as all guests are drooling over Falcao and its a true red wank fest I bet if I put corrie on Rita will be in the pub saying "have you heard the news on Falcao"

Of course he's a key player.A top club needs four top strikers,take one away and we are severely weakened and will not be able to compete as we should.

I'm sure you'll be thinking the same when Serg's hamstring goes again or Jovetic mysteriously breaks down.....
