I agree with that which means you have to make it totally independent for it to work. No cosy cartel, jobs for your mates etc. Scrap it or make it totally independent.

And that is right but that is also the problem, who is best served by scrapping what is our best chance of restraining corruption, who is amplifying the latest failings and who in power is blaming who

Watching the Spurs v Brighton game, there can be little doubt that Atwell is the most inept/corrupt referee in amongst the PiGMOL squad.

Brighton were totally shafted by him and his fellow officials and the points gifted to Spurs.

These incidents are now shamelessly regular and blatant and Howard Webb is stealing a living if his mandate is to clean up their performances.

It’s a disgrace he’s allowed anywhere near games. PIGMOL come out and apologize saying VAR got it wrong, but fuck me how can a referee be so bad. He got every single decision wrong and badly wrong, but somehow it’s VARs fault? Atwell should be hung out to dry.

For most of the incidents the ref should be sent to the monitor to review themselves. The fact that they are shown only some of the incidents and are almost never making their own mind ul when they do makes the whole thing ridiculous imo.

They should be alerted to telling images and then let make an informed decision one way or the other.

Even Chris Sutton on btsport yesterday said he doesn't want to say corruption but that's all he can think of.

I had to laugh that Darren Cann, the linesman stood at least 40 yards away, spotted mitoma possibly handballed it.

If those wrong decisions had been equally shared between the two sides, I'd have considered it to be sheer ineptitude. The fact that every decision went in favour of Spurs tells me there's something more sinister going on. When was the last time PiGMOL had to apologise to united, spurs or liverpool ?

Webb finally admitted 3 weeks after the Derby that utd's first goal shouldn't of stood.
But no apology to City.
But then again like Pep said in his interview after that match "we won't complain, we move on".
