Sorry mate but the stats don't lie...Defeats at both Cardiff and Villa and a turgid draw at Stoke..Nothing to do with balance,it's because champs league is his and the clubs priority.

There is virtualy no chance that City dont end up in first 4. I would be more worried about Man. United this year.

But the performance is significant. It tells us what we are capable of and how we are likely to do in coming games.

We could quite easily slip up in our next 2 games, and see our confidence take a hit, but we are playing well now. We're scoring goals, creating lots of chances, and we're not conceding many chances...we just had one of those weird games where a team gets to take almost 100% of their chances

I see everyone panicking. This game is the worst game to panic about. The team played excellent and Villa scored two goals that shouldn't have been (offside and false free kick). We were unlucky. End of.

First Villa goal was offside but the free kick was legit as Nasty caught the Villa player with a clumsy attempt at a tackle.

What can you say about the third other than it was pathetic defending you wouldn't expect to see at any professional level.

Watched the Nasty foul again a couple of times this evening and I'm not convinced that he deliberately tripped the Villa guy: Nasty could just be turning away. He does put his arm out though. Any road up, Ref thought it was a foul and he was close to the incident.

Its not whether or not its a foul, that will be decided by whatever incompetent idiot is in charge, but if we stopped making these silly/clumsy challenges in dangerous areas, we wouldn't give them a reason to give the free kicks in the first place. The silly ones are the shirt pulling, and hand on the back 'push' where almost any player will go down if they feel contact. Don't give the referee the opportunity to give the foul in the first place, not in important areas such as in front of the goal, or out wide where a decent cross can be put over.

The other thing that I cant understand is fouling someone when they have their back to goal 30 yards out!

He also looks like a guy that you don't want to make angry. Hard to imagine many South American centre backs being a soft touch; although those shots of Dimichelis and his kid at the match make you wonder;-)
