If he does, that would end his City career. He's been immense for us but I get the feeling that Pep is looking for an excuse (if that is the right word) to reshape the defence and VK, being the fulcrum at the back is always going to be vulnerable to change.
 
Important week for him. I expect he will play in at least one of belgium's games if, not both, and if he comes through those, he'll be looking to return to City's first team as an automatic starter.

I was surprised he didn't start against Boro. If he was fit to make the bench, it's a bit odd he didn't start.

Maybe Pep had a few scenarios in his head.
He knows Vinnie will play for his country this week and playing him last Sat might have been too much too soon

Maybe he is expecting him to break down and doing it whilst on Int duty eases any difficult decisions

Let's see if he can prove his fitness in games that have no bearing on the PL

He isn't the fulcrum of the defence, he hasn't been playing. Pep doesn't need an 'excuse' as he already had a perfectly good one, the fact VK is always injured.

Pep is hoping he gets fit, because he's twice as good as Otamendi or Stones. He's not going to sack him in November, for not being fit, he's going to hope someone gets him fit. If they don't, eventually, then reluctantly, he'll move him on, not in November.

The deadline for Kompany being written off, is the day we have 4 top cbs who can all play in his place & do th same job.

We currently have half of one, in Stones, a couple of kids & several who will never lace his boots.

Couldn't agree more.
 
The sad thing about it, is you almost expect him to get injured in every game he plays in. Nobody would be surprised if he sustained his next injury this coming week.

The guy is fit then,just like we thought he was last Saturday,club v country row potentially here,or maybe it is a case of Martinez rating him more than Pep does,ohhh perish the thought,good luck either way skipper
