West Brom sold out

It does not help either when they let an adult buy one for there kid even though they dont have enough points taken up a seat for another adult who would of had enough points

-- Fri Dec 02, 2011 5:26 pm --

What?

As far as I'm aware if you buy tickets through club you need the corresponding qualifying supporters numbers

Cleavers, I know that you weren't having a go at me. The branches that I have been involved in have always looked after their own. They also rarely offer travel only meaning that all tickets are obtained through the branch. I have even been turned away as I have obtained my ticket myself but the game then changed to a different date, meaning my train ticket wasn't valid. I asked if I could use the coach and was told no as coach only wasn't something they did.

I have seen wives, girlfriends, family members, fans of european clubs and long lost best mates obtain tickets for some of the biggest games of the season. All because they are in the inner circle of an OSC.

It happens and that's a fact, not specualtion.

I'm not saying that the one you're involved with does it, but the ones I have been involved with do it all the time.
Same here, I can't believe it is being called speculation. It simply isn't, it is real. I know as I have received tickets (with no loyalty points added to my purchase history) that I had not qualified for.

Yes, we hate United because they sell out at West Brom.
Missed the point big time!

What evidence would you want?

There will be 3 coaches leaving for West Brom, approx 150 people so 150 tickets with over 6000 loyalty points on their cards.
That doesn't mean they are all going through their branch getting tickets.

My point anyway was not having a go at you, it was just pointing out that people should believe the facts rather than speculation.

There are a couple of posts in here that confirm branches are actually getting less tickets, (last year we asked for and got 16 for WBA), but I can only speak for the branch I'm a member of, and we've got less than we've asked for several times this season, when in the past we have almost always got what we asked for.

Your Branch asked for 15 but only an estimated 10 may have the points it sold out on ....you were given 4 you say ...........The 10 could apply under their own steam add them to the 4 you got and suddenly youve got 14 when only 10 are eligible .....Hows that fair ?
Actually I said less than 15, yes we got 4, and the rest of us have ordered theirs through their own steam. The reason we ask for them from the SC is that we travel, and like to sit together, this no crime.

Manchester City have a supporters club with branches all over the world, and we pay to be members of it, and being able to get tickets from the club is one of the few benefits left, a benefit that itself seems to be diminishing, and once again people on here are claiming that its the supporters clubs fault that tickets have sold out before some have got tickets, when the actual reason is far simpler.

Anyway I'm not posting in this thread again as its pointless, because those who didn't get a ticket just want to blame someone, despite not having the required number of points in the first place, luckily I and my lad have tickets because we both have the required number of points.

To clarify mate - the 4 tickets received by your branch - are they marked against the season ticket of 4 members who have the required number of points (6000+ in this case).
Or are they 4 tickets received by the branch that are not marked/matched against anyones season ticket.

I really don't think it's anything to do with an increase in corporates.
I think that's exactly what it is. Out of 2750 tickets offered to us at Old Trafford (even though it's supposed to be 5% which would be 3800, the Rag cheeky Rag cunts!) how many random people you'd never seen ever before were there? When the camera panned over to the City fans there were people in the City end we'd never seen before not even smiling let alone going mental! They are not fans with 9000+ points that's for sure! Everyone in the pub kept saying "who the fuck's that?" "look there's another!" "who the fuck are they?"

So who are they?!

Last season there was the big debate about the bird taking pictures (that argument got a bit daft though!) at OT, a lad told me the ther day there were loads of neutrals in the City end at Arsenal.

How are these people getting hold of tickets? There's only two ways: one, off mates who are City fans with considerable points who are buying tickets and not going; or two, through corporate sales from the club which are tickets City are taking off our allocation given to us (2600 West Brom gave us at first and then a day later City said there were only 2000 available!).

-- Fri Dec 02, 2011 5:12 pm --

I can confirm this happens. I was with a Supporters Club for three years. I went to 17 away games and didn't receive a single Loyalty Point for any of those 17 games!

I have got over 8000 points, applied via supporters club, got a ticket.

I've now sold that for a ton and applied direct to club and got my own ticket for which I got the points.

Hope that answers a few questions.

Plus I've got a mate who is corporate who sorted me with an extra 2 tickets for my pals, job's a good un.

Dan I really don't go in for the "I don't recognise him" stuff. I go away pretty much every game (apart from the London aways) and I never recognise anyone except around half a dozen or so people that I always seem to bump into at each away.

It's not exactly an exact science is it.

Fuck me - I can't believe I have just wasted 25 minutes of my life reading this thread!!

Top of the league and there is huge interest, especially when 95%+ of our fanbase is probably off work. 6,000 points this season is probably equal to 4,500 last year over 2,500 tickets.
Surely anyone who is over 7,000 who DOESN'T go away will now have a "regular" "Can i use your ticket" mate.
The club do set aside some aways for superbia and corporate sales. Given they lose about £197m I can forgive the club for selling a few off in return for the fantastic team I am watching this season!

All of the above and it is no surprise it sold out so fast. It's not rocket science!

Lay off the club you ungrateful cunts

Careful bud some people on here will believe that and demand that all supporters clubs are shut down.
