Why did we let Zinchenko go?

Oleks wanted to move, he was entering the last year of his contract, he wasn’t a first team regular and we got very good money for him. He was and is a great bloke and a great squad player but 44 pages of soul searching seems a bit daft to me

I also think the club were certain they were getting Cucurella but like you said BBS, the £30m plus fee is EXTREMELY good business from our side, not replacing him with top class though wasnt

And that, frankly, is the last word needed on the subject.

Thank fuck we didn’t get Cucurella pal, now he is overrated, and he’s got shit hair

Never started more than 15 games in a season for us and we've not had an actual left back since Terry Phelan, good servant, nice lad, got a great fee for him, time to move on.

Pep made a great change on Friday when Zinchenko was drifting into midfield and running off the back of KDB, Bernardo coming on completely nullified his threat.

Zinchenko wanted to play more and be in midfield and was running down his contract. City collected a substantial sum from Arsenal.
He went to a club offering 3x his wages and being made starter on the team. Not a hard decision for him, also he ain’t playing in midfield for them it’s the exact same role as he had at city. So exact same role, starting and 3x the wages it’s a no brainer
