Why The Hell Would Anyone Want Mancini Sacked ?

Luck? There is no such thing. We keep on getting the "group of death" because we don't win games, meaning we are always seeded in pot 4/3. Nothing will change until we start winning games against top teams.
Vicious circle. Keep drawing the top teams and we will keep getting beat

Seeding is OK but should be done on basis of the teams performance in their domestic leagues.

Real Madrid weren't that good & Ajax were very very beatable.

Chelsea brushed Napoli aside last season.
True. We should certainly have beaten Ajax, and maybe Napoli.

I agree Real Madrid aren't as good as they were and rely hugely on Ronaldo but they are still ahead of us

I'd say the chances of Mancini playing 433 are the same as me growing an arm out of my arse.

What you do in your spare time is your business.

Mancini was prepared to try 3 at the back so maybe Txiki can persuade him to try 4-3-3; maybe he already has.

I do think 4-3-3 is the way that we should evolve the team but the fact that I am not certain that Bobby will move in that direction is one of the reasons I think that now is the right time for Bobby to move on.

The only line between the inners and the outers is that Bob should get 1 more season.. no more no less.

Might not be the only difference but it is a key difference and more importantly a key question: should he get another year? The answer to that in part depends on how you view the risks involved. It's not, IMO, an easy decision, which is why I'm something like 5.5.on a 10 scale of how convinced I am he should go. However, the easy option is to let him stay and see how he does. We will get much greater clarity about Mancini if he gets another season and some of his transfer targets in the summer.
The easy option, because it's the only option given the risks of one bad season in a crucial FFP era.

no chance that's why i dont think him and Txiki can work hes not the type of manager that likes to be told what formation to use i can actually see him trying to prefect the the 3-5-2 more than i can see him using 4-3-3

I agree with you.

Me too.

Bob does not strike me as a guy that can easily encompass others ideas when it comes to football.

We will all soon see I guess.

Not really the case though is it. Group of death involves a team from every pot, and there are plenty of teams in pot 3 and 4 that didn't get as tough a draw as we have in either of the past two years. Napoli a year ago and Dortmund this season were both pot 4 teams, and on that front we were very unlucky.

They are ahead of us in experience & in the way we played against them at the Bernabau, where they could have scored ten with better finishing, but the rags went there, played a simple solid game & could easily have won. We had Maicon & Nastasic making debuts, Garcia thrown in, etc (would anyone play him in such a game now ?) I think the City team, & tactics, that played v Utd in the cup semi could have knocked Real Madrid out of that competition.

City, & Mancini, underperformed.

Do people honestly think that our top end haven't sat down and planned the future of our playing style?

Do you honestly think that Txiki has come in and stated that we are to play in a certain fashion, not taking anything into account, including our current playing staff?

We now have one of the best set-ups in the world and as we all know football is dynamic. The board will not just enforce a method of play on the club just to prove they have the power, they will all sit down and work out what we need to progress as a club. Owner, Chairman, CEO, Manager and DoF will all be involved in the process and as we have already heard that Mancini is happy with the new men and they see him as a Champion then I think they will be professional and respectful enough to get on with the job in hand.

You never know, they might just get on with each other as well.

The worst one for me, was the home game against Dortmund. Jeez, we could have been battered that night.
