Sounds like some on the Swan's board were hoping to get more from City in this deal...

Never let there be a Swansea City situation which John van Zweden fails to comment upon. The Dutchman is a board member at the Welsh side and has never been afraid to share his opinion on what happens at the club. Van Zweden will speak out in support of decisions made by other board members and also against them, always reliable to speak his mind - even if that sometimes infuriates others.
This time, Van Zweden's comments should cause nobody to be too perturbed. The Dutchman feels that Swansea City are letting Wilfried Bony go for an amount of money, £30m, which is too low. He's been quoted by Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf as saying "We should be happy that we have seen him here playing for one and a half years. And we have been able to take advantage of all of his goals. But if I compare it with other amounts paid, I think it's actually much too little."
De Telegraaf say that Wilfried Bony will be paid £150,000 per week and they confirm that his previous club Vitesse will get a kickback from the transfer fee of £2.5m, which we assume to be Euros. That'll be a huge boost to the budget of the Dutch club.
Manchester City must have thought long and hard about the move for Bony given their constant battle against FFP. Swansea themselves may have learned something from the days of Michu about cashing in when the opportunity presents itself.
