Do you think he would give it to her? no chance. I said i would take that when you mooted it yesterday. Although, it was a different suggestion, it didnt include the (in case of a yes vote bit). in case of a yes vote, Scotland doesn't need that same deal, it can make its own. But if he could guarantee the same deal as n.i, heck even condition a second referendum, i'd take it.

But there would be no chance of getting it. And, if we are honest, it would be a bit of a political suicide, turning against principles they have been hammering on since brexit got voted on.

He shouldn't offer her anything. He should restrict Scottish MPs votes on English only matters and start scaling the back the block grant discrepancy and make the UK a fairer place to live in.

Let's not forget what they were actually sacked for voting for an extension and fundamently they are being asked to vote against that now by accepting the deal. It is quite conceivable that they don't like the deal or would prefer 2nd referendum attached to it. They have nothing to lose they have had the whip removed and effectively have a free vote on this.

They were voting for an extension because it took no deal off the table. now, the deal does that instead. They are free to vote for the deal if they think it is right. Or against it if they don't. the rest is petty.

They were 15 points behind when May called the last election and she hadn't the BXP to deal with.

Yep. The Withdrawal Act is where the action is and Johnson is looking to bring it to the House on Monday. Will be interesting to see what amendments get tacked onto it and whether any get included in the Withdrawal Treaty itself.

I am still in favour of leaving albeit slightly, but not if it means the takeover of the country by the hard right. That is what we might be seeing, the endgame of Thatcherism. A choice between that and remain, remain all day long. The damage a hard right government free of EU restraint could do to the country is unimaginable. They envisaged an Hayekian Britain with few labour protections modelled on Singapore. They are Free Market Anarchists whose belief in them is ingrained in their psyche. I am marginally in favour of leave, but not this leave scenario. A scenario that the working class have been conned into voting for because of hard right propaganda the likes of which the master propagandist himself would have looked on with envy.

I’m inclined to agree with this.
Whether that is the way they go or not, I think you’ll find out soon enough after a GE.
Trouble is if the Tories get their majority, which I still think was the original overall game plan, the deal is a happy bonus if they get it through parliament. Then it will be too late to stop them if indeed their intentions are somewhat less than honourable.

NI will have been removed as an obstacle, they would be left with a choice of The EU or The UK.

Same economic catastrophe would be faced by local businesses.

25 points behind when May first called the snap election.

If this deal gets through and a GE is called for then Labour are toast. Boris might as well start wearing a cape for the foreseeable.
