I wouldn't be surprised if the "new FFP" was something like a salary cap like the NFL uses. It moves up and down with league revenues, but basically clubs can only spend X dollar amount on wages. It'd be even across the board. I don't know why you would need to do more than that when the league is almost entirely a closed-up shop already.
55% of turnover ratio talked about. So you can spend 55% of turnover. This wont be even league, City will be bottom end of it.

I hate even thinking about this possible new world, but why would we be afraid of any spending restrictions? Our revenue is #6 in the world according to the latest Deloitte Money League.
The **** knows fuck all, he’s a chancer, a charlatan who works for nothing more than a glorified fanzine, file under nobby know nowt!

What I do find highly amusing is the likes of Neville and Carragher saying "we can never allow this closed shop to happen with no relegation etc" but that's exactly what we've got anyway - there's so much money at the top the chances of those top 6 clubs being relegated is nill anyway.
And saying they dint want this closed shop with such ferocity.... NOW THEY KNOW HOW US CITY FANS FELT WHEN FFP WAS BROUGHT IN!!! They effectively did make it a closed shop then!!

So fkin blinkered because it doesn't fit their criteria that NOW they want to act outraged!

Well as much as I don't want this either I do think 'fk you' because we've been battling against this shit for years!

Woooooo......87 votes, 5.2%...... we're getting there.

They’ll be adapting a model that suits them and shafts us. If you believe otherwise you’re deluded

Still think it would have been much easier not to invite City. The clubs involved want this to be a huge success, so, doing all this just to play silly buggers with City seems counter productive.

Totally out of order mate. The owners have never let us down and I fully believe that their action have our best interests at heart even if it might not seem clear at this moment in time.

I wonder how people would regard Peter Swales now if he had signed an agreement in 1970 that meant Manchester City were in the European Cup for 23 years straight?

Would people say hed betrayed the club and football? Or would he have guaranteed prosperity for the club and skipped what actually happened in the 80s and 90s and now be regarded as a hero and visionary?

Do you realise think it will be a level playing fiel? Because I certainly don’t

It will be a damn shame if Leicester and West Ham finish top 4 and this ESL goes ahead. I do wonder if one of them would get an invite to it although that would mean over 1/3rd of the ESL comprises of Premier League clubs.
There would still be a champions league.

I think we’re literally breaking football laws by creating a new competition.

I think they can absolutely kick us out and I hope they do.
PSG will pick the trophy up and then do exactly what everyone knows they will do and join the SL.

However, fair play to them for steering clear up to now.
