I’ve certainly seen penalties given for less contact.

Another day he gets that and potentially wins the penalty that wins the game for England.

Form is bad, but no-one was great.

They've been good this season though while Sterling has struggled. It's not just this game or his England performances that are the worry.

It was mind boggling that the waistcoat took Foden off and left Sterling on. I wouldn't be fussed if City let Sterling go on the cheap. It seems to me that 9 times out of 10 he either makes the wrong decision or fails to control the ball. I think we have outgrown him and it is time to move on.

I wouldn’t be upset if he went. Always think wingers like him peak earlier and very few are great after 26/27.

Just because he makes some mistakes with his actions, you can't discount the rest.
