Cristiano Ronaldo

IF Ronaldo is prepared to forget his allegiances with the rags and at the age of 36 come back and test himself in the toughest league in the world and all for a significant pay cut, it tells you a lot about the man.

The *r7 brand is huge and he would not be prepared to damage that if he felt he could not do it on the biggest stage.

IF it is the case, this could be a great short term signing.

Would you rather have dessert or have no dessert at all? (ie goals or less goals).

I'm happy with Jesus, Torres or Delap as our number 9 options or even the false 9 system. If it fails, get a proper striker next season.

This is from former Juventus chairman yesterday.
"He's a great player, but I have to be honest – the sooner he leaves, the better for him and for Juventus.

"I hope that Massimiliano Allegri knows how to continue using him like he did against Udinese. That is, with intelligence and when the game is in progress.

"Ronaldo hampers Juventus' attack. Without him, they can do excellent things in collective terms."

All about opinions and if he signs will be happy for you

But I cannot get my head round him playing in our shirt

It’s not just because he was a Rag it’s his whole persona
Maybe that's what we need though? Someone like that to drag us over that final hurdle. The guy is a winner. He isn't his real age, you get a player hitting prime 30 with an extra 7 years experience on top. Everyone knows what he's like, but that's what makes him Ronaldo. People rightly blame Pep for the CL final, but the players looked like rabbits in headlights too. He won't allow that. They'll look to him to get that maiden trophy in the cabinet.

For those like yourself who simply hate him, look at it this way. It's only 2 years. He guarantees more trophies, hopefully the ultimate one. He propels the club even more globally, and he boils huge vats of piss the nation up and down.

In a moment all that you have ever known will be changed forever. Salford will be gone, wiped from the map for ever.

Everyone of us is piloting that plane. We wheel over the Etihad, and then we rumble low over over Claremont Road and Kippax Street and we stay low. Let them know we are coming. And then we rise high. She's away. We soar high flying on elation but not too high. Follow thr Ship Canal for she leads to Mordor! Too long that land has stained this Earth. A day to end all days with nothing but blue sky remaining.

We can but dream!

I don't think anyone can pretend they don't dislike him, he's an insufferable twat at the best of times and an ex-rag at the worst.

It's his quality on the pitch that makes this enticing, he guarantees goals and that's one area we absolutely need improvement on. Yes, he scores a lot of penalties, but the rest of our squad don't do that either - Ronaldo is a net improvement. From a financial point of view, he's the most marketable player in football and pays for himself.

I still doubt we'll get him, but if we did it's a huge get for City, make no mistake, and perhaps the better option (in the short term at least) over Kane

Tell me one instance when it he has caused issues on the pitch?

I detest his personality, but as a player , his attitude, ability and achievement's are magnificent.
As long as he signs for the right team. This could be epic! It could also be the biggest damp squib of all time.

Even if you don't want him to come here, It's odd to me when posters say "I don't understand how some of you want him here".

It can't be that hard to understand... and I am indifferent if he comes or not.
