Yes. Name those clubs. We know who they are. The corrupt owners at LFC, MUFC, Arsenal, Spurs. The greedy bastards who have fleeced the fans for years. Well it's farewell to them. They have ruled the roost but now the times are changing.
Let’s hope so mate

"I'd absolutely love it"

If Newcastle manage to achieve what we have achieved it'll be great.

Imagine a premier league where the rags and dippers can only dream of finishing above either of us and falling over themselves in a desperate attempt to remain relevant.

As long as the red top vermin are kept in their place and are left pining for those golden years I'll be more than happy.
I'd be happier if they were both pining for the fjords.

I can’t remember back in 2008 that we’d be ‘spending and winning everything’ instantly.
It was certainly nice to flash the cash, and get a (iirc) patronising pat on the head from the cartel ‘who’s a good boy’ -but I didn’t believe until the FA cup win in 2011 that it might actually happen.

… so, Newcastle supporters, be giddy for a few weeks, then settle in for the long haul, and it will be long , longer than it took us, because of the actions of yourselves supporting the cartel clubs wetting their knickers as the City juggernaut gathered momentum.
Also, you better hope that the new owners have a plan, nothibg to do with spending on players, but on the whole club - the facilities, the training ground, the youth, a womens team, the community and its environs.

and that plan is presented toot sweet - if nothing is indicated or presented by the end of summer 2022…

oh and buy shares in aluminium, the price will rocket if you become successful, and you have to don the ‘tin’ foil hat to deflect the crap thrown at you.

wonder who they'll appoint as CEO, they need someone who has knowledge of running a football club. will Garry Cook make a return to premier league?
If they do, they'll get a decent website, ours have been shit since he's gone.

all 19 apparently

Make no mistake, there will be renewed push for Super League now Saudis got in and safe to say Newcastle wont be part of those plans.

This Newcastle takeover will shake up football big time (no i dont mean Newcastle domination, cos in any case that would be years off if ever achieved).

Only the Guardian are reporting this, all the other papers simply quote the Guardian.

I wouldn't take this as rock solid fact.

Probably because the only way for this Saudi takeover to work is by them totally blowing the transfer market to bits. The pool of elite footballers has shrunk and most are already at big clubs. If they were to go for a Son, for instance, they'd have to pay north of 150m. Imagine how much actually creating an elite squad will cost right now.

We have also learned that the £305million deal — led by Saudi’s £700billion Public Investment Fund (PIF) — was strongly resisted throughout by Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham, with Spurs said to be the chief agitator in lobbying the Premier League to deny the Saudis entry to the top flight. [ Daily Mail ]

Apparently we and Chelsea aren't in the Revolt. It's the yanks

I don't think anybody actually wanted the takeover to happen, City included. The potential effects of hyperinflation could be damaging to alot of clubs.

The Americans are absolutely hell-bent on creating a closed shop that produces dividends or capital appreciation with little effort and little risk.

The CMA will be all over them if this continues.
