Another gripe I have is that whenever anyone is talking about teams like united and Chelsea becoming a force again, they almost without exception say (in this exact order) that they are years away from getting close to "Liverpool and City". Why is it always that order? One team has won 6 of the last 10 (and 4 of the last 5) Premier League titles and one has won one.
I take that as them believing that the Dippers are catchable. Catching us is just a pipe dream

I would guess he's referring to us fighting the FFP charges? Can't really see it being anything else. Not with the blatant lies that gets told about us on a daily basis and continues to do so without censure.
I am in part happy to see and read this. If he wrote it he’s hurting. The manner of the win will mean he hurts badly. Imagine he’s had ten years of pain now and still more to come. What a thoroughly miserable existence. Like being a chef and losing your zest for food but still needing to cook.

Unfortunately for PPV numbers we can’t compete with the rags and dippers.

Prefer the prize money!
Absolutely.

But PPV like shirt sales is no longer a good measure. Financially bigger and more important is success and commercial exposure that goes beyond fans and generates prize money but also media and sponsorship monies.

Matchday revenue and shirt sales are relatively minor.

A positive in-depth article in The Times.

How Manchester City won the title.
- From a faltering start to a strong finish, Paul Hirst and Pol Ballus dig deep to unearth the hidden factors that were key to success.

I don’t know why you’re shocked, they’ve done an indentically in depth positive piece 4 times now.

The Times is the most pro-City paper in the country.

Ferran Soriano: "We are not a ‘state club’, we are a club owned by three shareholders that look for profit."

We don’t have more money/resources than the others. You only have to look @Rags’s spending these last few years and you’ll see they’ve spent more money."

Funny enough, none of these quotes appear in the broadsheets. Also said pep for life :-)

Might be time to stage a coup now we know Mansour is only in it for the money!

If he doesn’t want us to be called a state owned club then he should have contested papers calling us that for the past 10 years.

He didn’t, and now it’s stuck forever.

I dont think he cares too much.

Sorriano doesn't seem like the type to wake up and get upset because "@YNWA4eva" and "jakeLFC2005" are taking shots at us on Twitter

It's anything but ominous. We only needed to have scored one goal less in any of those drawn games and the Dippers to have scored one more in their drawn games and the scenario is completely different. I wonder how ominous that would be!

And do the same in two different seasons, and it's 3-2 titles in favour of Liverpool.

That MU have more income but are clueless, and Chelsea's ownership (which Delooney has rarely mentioned to my memory) has collapsed.
He's incapable of putting a coherent argument across on twitter but continues to produce halfarsed vagueness.

Chief Sports Writer in The Sun, Dave Kidd, says that 'it will be perfectly reasonable to argue that the champions of England are not the best team in England this season'. WTF. Yet then continues with absolutely nothing to base this on.
He works for the sun. The editor of The Beano gets more respect from me than him.
