PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Bajkowski finished his MUEN hit piece by quoting Ratboy blaming City for the delay in characteristically incoherent style:
"That Manchester City case is a disgrace; it's an absolute stain to the game," Neville said. "I have a lot of admiration for City, but I don't buy into this theory that clubs do really well, and City have, but it is still a stain to the game.
"It has just been dragging on for years and years, it's an absolute joke. Yes, City have been defending themselves, but they've been pushing it so far into the long grass that you end up losing the will to live on it and you forget about it. It just needs to be dealt with."

How do they get away with these libellous attacks?

Ratboy is so invested in this when we get cleared it's going to affect his world view and well being, all the grifters who made hay are getting their just desserts.

Saying there has been a ruling does not make it so and just because the case is over does not mean there is a ruling.

If we take Khaldoon at his word there has been no ruling

There cannot be a ruling and no ruling at the same time
Schrödinger’s cat say’s hello.

Regardlesd of if we know the ruling or not I am just happy the hearing has been concluded. We know know how the hearing went, the evidence and how our defence was recieved. The fact that we are pushing ahead with transfers and the stadium expansion speaks volumes. We wouldnt be giving out contract extensions to Haaland and Pep if we thought there was any real risk. No players or sponsors have jumped ship either.

Full faith in the club.

It's all going a bit Blue Anon again.

Surely the only reasonable thing to conclude is the judgement is taking about as long as some of the more conservative minded pundits claimed it would?

Got to wonder what the repercussions could be if the PLs case is viewed as being largely without merit and unproven. Could be one hell of a shit storm, and the debris could extend beyond Masters if the email disclosures show who was driving this witch-hunt.

‘I don’t buy into this theory that clubs do really well’

That’s not really a theory Gary, quite evidently some clubs do really well

I honestly think you are running away with speculation there. And it is getting a bit wild.

He could just well mean exactly what he says. There is no ruling, one is coming (it has to at some point) and we have to be patient and wait. What he feels he has to say may not change depending on the verdict, but still inappropriate to say now hence he has to wait.
The world is full of smoke and mirrors, this is why you have speculation.
Some people can see , what others can't

You need to regard 'ruling' as enythematically including 'published' which allows for the content to be already known.
Even if I accept that the ruling is decided and static before the report it’s surely not a formal ruling till then and it looks like the ruling won’t be handed down till the report is out and the point still stands the club cannot know unless Khaldoon is not telling the truth

You've clearly no idea how the media works. Many stories get suppressed or minimised because the journalist or paper doesn't want to destroy their relationship with the source, or is promised an exclusive. There are huge stories about former international players that I know about but have never seen the light of day.

Let's put it another way. Your best mate tells you something, and asks you not to tell anyone else as it's just between the two of you. But you do tell others and the story is all over town. Do you think your mate would trust you with a secret again?
Thanks for explaining how the media works to me.

The 28 years I’ve been working in PR and Marketing, including 4 years in the Deputy Prime Minister’s Press Office in Whitehall, now all makes sense.

I'll tell you what's going through my suspicious mind currently. That the outcome is known and has been for a couple of months. I've said this before and I'm standing by that (until I'm told otherwise). There was too much noise around March time for there not to be some smoke, even if the fire didn't catch hold.

When you read that MEN piece Link (and maybe I'm reading it wrong or with confirmation bias) there's a couple of things that stand out. The first is this phrase -
"it has now been five without a published result". Note that word 'published'. To me that implies there has been a result but it hasn't yet been published. The other thing is Khaldoon's tone, which is "be patient, it's coming". The impression I get from that is he knows the result but things just have to take their course. But what is that course?

I'm going to speculate that this outcome is so bad for one or more parties that they are finished.

For the party most obviously at risk, his employer may have been quietly head-hunting his successor, who might have to be more experienced at crisis-management than marketing. Another party who may be at risk is involved with a club that's had, for them, a successful season by winning a trophy at the end of the season and they didn't want anything to detract from that. Maybe it suits us to wait until the CWC is done and dusted, as we don't want any distractions before then.

As I said, this is pure speculation but could explain the situation.
I can’t remember who it was and I can’t find the post, but a user on Twitter, think he might be on here too who said the PL were putting out feelers for possible successors to Masters.

I looked into the guy who posted it and he was legit.
He had his own high profile recruitment company in Dubai.

However, I could have just been just part of their ongoing contingency planning.

I hope you’re right though.
