PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

One can only hope given what’s at stake for both parties.
I don’t believe the PL want to throw the book at us as they will be going up against some v powerful people and politically motivated arguments. At the same time they cannot be seen to completely lose face .
The most sensible outcome will be asome financial settlement and a slap on the wrist for us.
Like all of us here I would obviously want to see us completely exonerated but have a feeling it won’t quite go that way given how long it has taken for any pronouncements to be made.
If, as you say, the Premier League & Masters didn't want to throw the book at us, then why did they release the 115 charges to the media before City & claim it's 115 charges instead of 5 charges multiplied over several years & even going back to 2009, 3 years before ffp.

The two things that struck me about that Masters interview with Bloomberg were:
  1. They're suppose to be a serious and respected financial outlet so the question about why our case was taking so long when the Everton one was concluded quickly was a fucking stupid one to ask in the first place. It showed they knew fuck all about the two situations.
  2. Having asked it, his answer was hesitant and slightly incoherent. It should have been on the lines of "You can't compare the two cases. In Everton's case, the PSR rules are quite straightforward and while there may be some wiggle room, it's quite black and white, a bit like going to court for speeding; you were caught driving in excess of the speed limit, probably significantly so, but there may be some mitigation. City's case is more akin to a complex commercial dispute where there are in-depth technical questions to grapple with and a mountain of documents in evidence. That will clearly take a lot longer to resolve".
You can bet if Khaldoon had been asked the same question, his answer would have been much more confident and cohesive. With Masters, you got the impression he really wasn't on top of his brief, and you could see why perhaps he lacks the strength of character to stand up to some of the louder voices in the room.
Well you talk about how Khaldoon would handle it differently, but like City’s and Everton’s individual cases aren’t really comparable the same is true for Masters and Khaldoon.

Khaldoon Al Mubarak

-Khaldoon is a very astute and successful businessman.

-He has the ear and confidence of the Abu Dhabi Royal family.

- he is the CEO of Mubadala investment group which manages ~$230bn

- he is highly celebrated, being awarded a CBE as well as similar accolades in Korea, Italy, France and being given freedom of the city of London (I’d love him for a laugh to drive his cattle through there as is his right now)

- Khaldoon sits at the highest of tables. Earlier this year was on a deliberation brokering a deal with no other than the President of the US

He is a very impressive man and I could go on and on with his successes.

For comparison

Richard Masters

- went to school in Solihull.

- clearly has a healthy appetite.

Genuinely difficult to find any successes he has outside of being gifted the PL job after being interviewed by the rags and dippers.

But further to my point these 2 aren’t comparable, it’s like comparing a 3 legged donkey to a champion race horse.

Panic, hence the charge sheet was full of mistakes

Time was running out and the American red cartel would have been putting pressure on. Plus wasn't there a deadline with the government over a regulator.

I get that & obviously with the way Masters is controlled by the cartel clubs then hes damned either way, but there was multiple opportunities before they announced the charges to do a deal if they didn't want to throw the book at us as the poster stated.

i want one of these.
please tell me how to get one

Probably Ginger Wig on X
I had a look yesterday and they're not on the website, using the 'contact us' link at the bottom may turn something up.

Would a deal, for Mancini consultancy in Saudi which wasnt part of CAS, especially with NDAs, been better than the circus since the 115 charges were released

No, no deal was ever possible because the red cartel were demanding our removal. This was never about a slap it was about complete destruction and removal. We are in a war and thankfully we have competent people at the helm who play a long game and will secure outright victory at some point. Masters was given the objective of destroying City.

Had Masters not been in the pocket of the Cartel clubs & also had a backbone, we wouldn't be at all out war & when the decision finally lands, it could very well be the end of the premier league

Even if the million to one chance hits that we do get found guilty of all charges then it doesn't end for the EPL as there will be litigation cases from every club Since 2009 & if we are cleared of the majority then the cartel clubs will be furious & the Super League will rear it's head again

I believe the cartel convinced Masters & Brittain that no one would give a flying fuck if City were wiped off the face of the earth, infact it would be a benefit but if they lost the cartel the premier league wouldn’t survive,

Imagine having so little confidence in your own brand.

Have we been found guilty of non cooperation twice?
I can only assume he means UEFA doing us for non-cooperation and then CAS upholding that particular charge several months later. It's straw-clutching in the extreme as it's still only the one occasion but I think more importantly it highlights someone who is getting ever more desperate if he's making a song and dance about non-cooperation. It sounds to me like he's resigned to us only getting done for that at most this time round when previously he was telling all his deluded followers that we were getting done for everything. Damage limitation from the unhinged **** methinks.

Masters is an estate agent at best.

Perhaps City didn't want to do deal when you are innocent

ok so this week passed as well, 9 working days left till PL kicks off on the 15th, I guess thats why some source came out with possible October release as its nonsense the panel could not finish yet despite the hearing ended in December. obv they dont only work on this they might have other more urgent issues/work/holidays/errands to run/shopping/cinema hahaha

I do recall someone maybe Ducker had an article right around April when there was some imminent noise it might come out and he pushed it back to June/July dates. now there was some expectation it should be out before new PL starts, now pushed back to October dates.

based on this pattern I think mid September/late September there will some new source pushing it back to about January...
