Running thread

Travelled over to Northern Ireland for a race at the weekend (antrim Coast half marathon) combining with a short holiday. Really well organised race with beautiful scenery, started in Larne. Not as quick as Manchester as had some lumpy bits in it Did 1.34.
Best part was seeing the leaders including some very well known Kenyans coming the other way after 7 miles.Would recommend.
Grew up around north coast, know area very well. Lots of my friends ran it. Hope you enjoyed it mate

That sounds awesome.

Hey guys. I'm not on here so much recently. Family holidays, weddings, age, injury and other circumstances are all interfering with my running.

I'm 64 now, with a dodgy left hip, but I'm grateful that I can still get out on the occasional run. I'm holidaying on the Ross of Mull this week. I've just completed 9km in 1:09:41. At the pace I run at, I got to take in stunning views variously of Erraid (features in RL Stevenson's Kidnapped), the beautiful Isle of Iona, with Staffa and other Hebridean islands in the distance, plus scenery and wildlife not often encountered back in Cheshire.

With views like that, who cares how long the run takes!

Well done mate

Fantastic mate

Travelled up to Fleetwood parkrun this morning Ran up and down the coast. Slight breeze but good to run in. Time was 30:04.

Looked at the Garmin data and for a very short period my fastest speed was 10.1mph. Think there must have been a glitch on my watch!
